Newcomer / Intro Uh oh, I messed with..

Earning credits in game is not particularly hard any more. I recommend watching Cmdr Hawkes "Best start to Elite Dangerous 2024" video and take his advice for earning money. The rest of it is good advice too. But play the game your own way - you don't need to speed run Elite. Some of the best ships in the game are the small ships. I spend more time in my Cobra Mk III and Cobra Mk V than in any other ship. And I have 10k+ hours in game

The rule of thumb used to be if you were buying a new ship have at least 3* times the hull price so you could buy some good modules and still have credits left for rebuys.

*5 would be better.

There are some A rated modules that cost much more than the ship hull they are fitted on.

It can be helpful to use the quote or reply buttons so others can see who you are responding to.

The Universe is our oyster. Literally, in this game. I originally just wanted to go mining. But it soooo soooo soooo much more than that. Never seen anything like this before. $4.99 on sale? I wish more people would just deal with the learning curve, grow up and have a great time!! lol!!

So it's lights out for the Cobra.... I had the colors so nice ..... No I want to keep it. Leraning specimen. Can I buy another? Or is it only one per?

wow that was an expensive mistake. A lot of arx yummies down the toilet.

OK - so I have not succumbed to the "buy a pre-built ship in the store" scam rip-off facility but as I understand it, if you get rid of the one you bought (by self-destruct or whatever) you can procure another example of that purchased ship free. The only caveat is that you can only own one of them at a time.

The free replacement is supposed to be the big positive as far as I understand what other people have been saying.

It appears as though the beautiful matte Cobalt Blue color has magically reappeared on my Cobra. Imagine that. Its as if the Gods have smiled upon me. I am grateful oh great one!!! lol
