After getting a warrant, dying, and returning with my ship and a planetary hangar and some SRVs, to a refinery settlement,
after it had not spawned any skimmers during a skimmer mission ( and having thought maybe it would if i loaded the map IN, a skimmer, as it loads )
i then found i could not board, or dismiss, or even re-select a different destination in the navigation-panel.
Nor could i disembark, change my loadoud, use the recall function in the vehicles (down arrow) HUD window,
or select a destination, etc.
I could move the tabs forward & use arrow keys to move within the menus, but not use/activate any of the functions that required a UI Panel-Select.
VERY weird.
I was not simply with-cargo,
nor not under the SRV hangar-door - the "board" button HAD turned orange, i was trying to click it just like normal, WHEN still.
then noticing that i could not select a new destination, confirmed something was wrong.
nnnnnnnnno idea.
One idea i had was that since i had a warrant, maybe some bug or overlapped-code? existed that had activated since getting a warrant, on-foot at-the-time, and UNTIL that warrant was wiped or lost from dying and paying it off,
could it be, that the programming to only-allow use of one's new menu while on foot, still active from the COMBINATION of gaining the warrant while on-foot, and restrictions on what you can INTERACT WITH, while the settlement alarm is on, be somehow still on to a small-degree, even though, i'd re-loaded the game?
As in,.. even-thought the map had re-set, could a STATUS effect on the player, have not been re-set, and THAT was limiting which functions i could use in my SRV?
That seemed like the kind of thing it might be - something that RECENTLY possibly should have been happening,
but was somehow STILL ON.
I'd cut the power in the settlement, too,.. hmm ... no-intereaction in menus? shrugs
