Russia's leader's bad decisions shouldn't make the Russian playerbase suffer. They are just along for the ride. They didnt choose to attack.
The person you quoted mentioned giving the profit to a charity, and banning the Russian flag ingame. I truly don't see how any of those harm the Russian playerbase.
I'm sure they don't support the killing of civilians. And not having your flag ingame is not harmful either. Lots of countries don't have their flags ingame afterall.

The availability of a Ukraine flag skin was one of the first things I checked. I'm disappointed that it's not there - at least for the Cobra Mk III that I checked.
Many countries do not have flag skins, but others do.
Given the present circumstances, the Ukraine flag skin should be made available.
Either for free, or with profits given to a suitable charity.
No politics, just for basic humanity and peace.

This gets my vote.
As for the argument that "Ukraine wouldn't exist in the 3300's"... it probably would, as a region within the Federation, just as Wales does within the UK.
And there will always be people who want to identify with their home region. So there will always be an in-lore market for regional paintjobs.
