I've been mucking about with these two settings for terrain quality on my system, and for some reason I'm not seeing the improvement others have noticed. The visuals with the two settings look the same to me, and my FPS are the same in the two modes as well. I'm assuming that for some reason it's not working on my system, or perhaps it only works with a particular combination of settings.
That said, I'm not completely clear where you would most easily see the difference - is it on foot or as you descend to land, is there only a difference with atmospheric worlds or does it apply to all etc.
Would it be possible for someone to post examples of the differences between ultra and ultra for capture, so I can see what I'm missing out on and do more testing on my system. As I say, it may be that for some reason it's not applying on my system, and I'd like to test out why. I don't think comparison shots have been posted anywhere, or if they have I've missed them.
(for what it's worth I'm using an i7-10700k, an RTX 3090 and 32GB Ram. I have all the settings at their highest except for DOF (medium), and I have blur switched off. I have SS at 1.25 and SMAA on for AA.)
Thanks in advance for this!
