Unable to play due to account issue

Update - And of course after posting this, it suddenly works without issue and no explanation or reason.. Sorry everyone - o7

As per title, I woke up this morning only to discover the launcher wanted me to log-in despite playing the game only 10 hours prior. After logging in however, I'm told I need to purchase a copy of Elite Dangerous.

What is going on? As if this game needed any more issues right now..

Bought via Steam, currently my Frontier account shows nothing attached to it - so what exactly am I supposed to do here?
