Since 3.1, I am limited to playing basic elite, even though I have horizons, since I am using a dell laptop with integrated graphics, and am not going to buy a new computer to play Elite. I enjoy the game very much, but am on limited income. The planet exploration, and engineering were excellent.

Sorry dude. Elite will be around for years to come and so one day you will end up updating your computer and you can join us again exploring the planet surfaces.
I want to get the local computer place to upgrade my desktop power supply and install a video card my kid used to have in his computer. That can only help the performance of ED on my computer. Right now I'm installing an upgrade and had to use my phone as a WiFi hotspot since the desktop doesn't have a particularly robust WiFi antenna and I can't put my claws on a 20' length of Ethernet cable at the moment to directly connect it to the router. And my (@$%& joystick began to roll without any way to adjust it. So I want to find a spare $40 to buy a new joystick.
