Horizons Unable to purchase Landing suite Cobra Mk3

Hello, posting this on behalf of my dad so i may have some details wrong.

He has purchased Horizons and installed the Dx11 launcher and uses the Horizons 64-bit launcher. When he gets into the game and goes to Outfitting the Landing Suite is listed on the modules but when he opens the module details it says something along the lines of "Insufficient resources for modules" - I may have this wording wrong but basically it wont let him use/purchase one. He has tried selling the Cobra and purchasing a brand new one to refit and also tried the same with a Viper but it always says the same thing.

He has tried to do several planetary landings but they always abort and kick him back out to normal space.

My copy of Horizons is working perfectly and i even went through it step by step at the same time with him and mine always works where his does not.

Would his Horizons detect his system spec and deny the use of planetary landings if his pc spec was deemed too weak? (somebody mentioned this in another thread but it wasnt confirmed)

IIRC he has a quad-core 2ghz Intel processor, Windows 7 64-bit, 8gb Ram and a Nvidia GT220 card (i think the card may be the problem).

Anyone else had this issue?

AFAIK the Nvidia GT220 only supports DirectX 10, if your friend* wants to land on planets he needs to buy a better GPU first (Horizons requires DirectX 11).

*dad, sorry ;)

thanks babelfisch, been reading the threads and it seems to be the GPU that is causing the problem. He might need to ask Santa for a new one :)

Yes. Spot on. The Game detects that the Graphics card is not DX11 or Shaders 5 compatible and refuses the module, or if it was bought on another PC in spec, then played on the out of spec machine, you get kicked out of SC on approach.
