'Unable to receive data, storage full' stopping other data types being stored?

That is an outlier and isn't something that happens very often. Even before the forthcoming fix that will auto-ignore everything that is maxed out, and un-ignore when the quantity dips below capacity.

So you don't do a lot of mining then?

I am wake scanning right now as well and have the same situation as the OP, that being Atypical Disrupted Wake Echos limit full.

I have been keeping an eye on things and just noticed one scan that came back with the "Full" message had a hint of blue underneath of it. When the "Full" cleared there was a blue tag line reading Anomalous FSD Telemetry, as in it was a double data scan.

The FSD Telemetry was collected. The ADWE's were not (obviously).

So it would appear, in my experience, that the OP's fears on this particular matter are unfounded.

but there is one thing that is rather obvious from this topic
without 3rd party tools, or manually searching the logs,
there is no way to see some of the message in the upper right HUD panel.

everytime there is a warning, like "refinery full" or "storage full" or whatever causes that huge red triangle warning - it covers that info panel long enough for the other messages to fade into nirvana.

i got a similar issue when manually scooping things very fast - the scoop hud is hidden behind the succes message for so long that it feels like an eternity.
