Underpaid bounties worse than before the patch

So I'm grinding Fed rank in Ceos and Sothis, and I get the occasional incoming enemy alert, so I come prepared to fight back (since they supposedly buffed bounty hunting rewards), and I got two NPC Anacondas on me, ready to ruin my day
One was Master, the other was Deadly
After I somehow manage to take them down one at a time, I saw the bounty reward
14,000 and 10,990 credits, respectively. The lower-ranked pirate paid more.
I checked my transactions page and I only received about 80K in vouchers

Did I miss anything or does FDev just hate me in particular?

It could be the fact that FDev touched on COMBAT. Defending your ship during the delivery mission may not be classed as combat... It is not RES nor any other COMBAT location so no clue... I am probably wrong here but that is my impression...

To elaborate further, I was raking in some pretty decent bounties yesterday doing the exact same thing as today. Total of about 7M. Why is this only happening now, I wonder.

Mission conda's dont always pay well. You seem to notice as you run into these much more when grinding rank

(dont grind...)

Idk man, they were paying well enough yesterday, consistently and abundantly. I'm just racking my brain figuring out why it's paying so low now, with the same consistency.
I'm imagining getting interdicted by a DBS is gonna net me only 500 credits lol

Consider those condas as mercs that were paid to go after you. The amount of bounty on their ships is related to any misdeeds they did before, not necessarily the value of the reward you deserve for putting them down. Just like a an elite player with a 200cr bounty for station speedy bumps. They could even have no bounties at all. They were just paid to catch you by some faction. Your objective there is to defeat them and collect the extra reward the mission gives, or... just do it like me and evade them. Not worth the trouble.
I've stacked loads of data missions that sent npc dudes after me in droves. If I stayed too long on an instance fighting, many more would pop in. So I learned to be the frisky rabbit.

When I did the ranking for Federation I stopped for every pirate that was chasing me to get the materials and combat rank, wasn't worried about credits since I made them from mining, trading or exploring. But that was before the recent nerfs...

I see your point. It's probably because I took on less cargo hauling missions today, those seem to be the ones attracting the actual pirates. Ah well. Thanks for your insight!

Mission enemies it really depends on whether they use the "assassin" or "pirate" template.
Pirates are worth ~200k for an Anaconda (which gets boosted to ~1M for payout)
Assassins are worth ~10k for an Anaconda (which gets boosted to ~50k for payout)

Cargo-based missions get pirates, everything else gets assassins.
(But you do still get 180k/kill for an Anaconda mission enemy added to the mission pay, so the actual bounty isn't as important)
