I still recommend the python over the asp for mining. They're both medium ships but the python has a lot more cargo and enough hardpoints for 3 lg weapons and 2 md mining tools. Its awesome as a painite or void opal mining ship. Just my opinion but i feel a lot of people would agree.

Tbh i dont really like the asp for anything but thats just me. Some people swear by it and thats cool

In addition to solo and open, there are also private groups. I would suggest you apply to mobius https://elitepve.com/ , a large PG where PvP is not allowed.
Also, if you want to do engineering in Colonia, you will have to unlock the Bubble engineers first in order to get the invitations

i just picked it from the in game discription,first time i took it out was stipped for more room/wieght cap for minning that failed big time, so upgraded some core units and got couple guns, still failed big time. am going to save up for a python before i try minning again,also give me more experiance time

Who mines in an Asp LOL? The T-10 is the penicle of mining ships. Do some homework.
I don't have the patience to fill 576t of Painite. I need to go shoot things in between runs.
256t is just right.

Of course.
A dedicated miner ship will make more profits from mining. A multi purpose ship will be able to defend itself (and get some bounties).
Since making money is ridiculously easy anyway I would always go for the multi purpose ship because the game is more fun when you can fight instead of getting blown up.

Yeah the best thing about any disagreement is that you can just accuse the other guy of being a meta-gaming scrub, right? Sure saves you the time that it would take to come up with something meaningful to say, being so very special.

Especially in the context of being described as the "best laser miner in the game", hmm?
