unfair npc's

I think that is not a CMDR. No engineered ASPX with 5C bi- has very low shield capacity. High rank NPC can tear her easily.



And I am using a xbox pad on pc, and it is possible to play almost without a mouse and keyboard. But you must combine two buttons on pad.
thamks it works perfect and gives a cleaner weapons cycling less cycle frames

that would meen nothing matters at all, i cant accept that, i think our acctions and reasons for doing them make a difference. And honor and integrety,courage,compassion are things that make us more then those without them, and there is a god,doesnt matter what name you call him,hes still there same for all of us. that is what i belive,but to each his own, freedom is choosing what to believe for yourself.
 
hey ive got a question, why do you switch back and forth from assisted flight to un assisted flight? i timed the differece in turning a full circle and didnt find a significent difference. so im thinking has something to do with handling properties i have not learned yet, would really be thankfull to get more info on this technique. thanks
 
In addition to solo and open, there are also private groups. I would suggest you apply to mobius https://elitepve.com/ , a large PG where PvP is not allowed.
Also, if you want to do engineering in Colonia, you will have to unlock the Bubble engineers first in order to get the invitations

Selene - G5 hull and hull reinforcement

Get invites from Mel Brandon, Marsha Hicks, Etienne Dorn and Petra Olmanova and use the g5 increased FSD upgrade to come to Colonia.

Then enjoy your time in an area where the engineers are all in a 50ly radius of each other.
 
Me, three weeks ago, Type-9, A-Rated and some engineering, Mission Stacking.... Submit to interdiction because all the rest had been little tubs and T-9 takes all afternoon to win interdiction. Then realize I submitted to an Anaconda and I'm now going to die.
LOL, exact same experience last week in fully loaded T-9. And, yet, I do love the big girl.

I remember when i thought NPCs were broken too, now I'm smoking Elite ranked Anacondas in cargo missions with my Python and Cutter.... purposely submitting to the interdictions so I can pick up extra money and high grade materials. lol

The fun in this game is reaching the summit of the bell curve and beginning the decent.

you may be right,i'll let you know when i get there, at the moment its a bit frustrating but very addicting
 
I keep hearing that multicannons are not good against shields. With the incendiary efx they are great vs shields.
to be honest you dont need to engineer your stuff...... sure that stuff helps, but I actually think getting a handle on the base gear in the game and then looking at engineers as the icing on the cake is better than just relying on that stuff as a crutch.

IF OP is in an E rated sidey and taking on a FGS then it makes sense things are going sideways.

if however he is in a medium specced vanilla vulture and is getting taken down by cobras then the issue is different. Either way am sure OP is doing something wrong somewhere and can get himself sorted without resorting to engineers.

edit.. mining Asp..... I dunno it seems strange to me. Perhaps the game has gotten massively harder and i have not noticed. out of curiosity i may take my exploration asp out and do some combat and see :).

I spent a lot of time doing combat in an asp but that was some time ago now.

In that case - before you take off for Colonia, unlock the Guardian shield boosters and FSD boosters. Either go into your ship's internal slots and will add a fixed amount of shield points/jump range. And the sites where you can unlock them are only south of the Bubble.

Tutorial video on how to acquire the mats inside the spoiler (both take the same type of Guardian blueprint, but different materials).

It's more significant on some ships than others. Some turn fine with Flight Assist, some do not. Larger ships benefit a lot from FA-off turns.

There are also instances where you want to turn sharply, while still keeping your ship moving in the direction it's heading. A boost can change your direction quickly, so you can FA-off, flip around, and boost to slip right past a pursuer.

Against somebody who is very engineered, there's a good chance that they're highly resistant to thermal, but might have a lower kinetic resistance. You never really know.

Usually if they are running Reinforced shields they have a slight thermal deficiency, and Thermal resistant will have a slight kinetic deficiency. But, it's like you said... you never really know, and with the right engineered boosters they can negate those deficiencies, especially in ships that have more than 4 utility slots.
