8 stars in one system

I found a system with 8 stars, SMOJUE DL-Y D44. It has an A, M, 3 Fs and 3 K stars.
and I got a bit burnt on entry - the game set me in front of one as I came out of the jump with a second painfully close at the side!:O

AFAIK this Universal Cartographics site hasn't been maintained for quite some time now. Can someone confirm this? Last news items on the site are from Dec'2015 / Jan'2016...

Based on that this thread could be retired and interested CMDRs could be pointed to the current http://www.elitegalaxyonline.com for records - or to https://eddb.io for other research.

@Moderators: Any chance you can close this thread? It's a pity to see CMDRs post their submissions to a service that's (sadly) no longer available. The current alternatives are linked above.

I've not come across any yet, but I imagine there are contact binaries out there (or as near to contact as damnit, if the mechanics can't handle it well enough), because contact binaries exist out here in the real galaxy. So the answer would be: no distance at all.
