Universal Cartographics Rate Sheet?

So, I can't find it anywhere, but I thought I read that the further you travel, the more valuable planetary scans will be. Does anyone know where I can A.) verify this information (I've been looking on the forums for about an hour, can't put together a string of words in the search bar than gives me a usable hit), and B.) if true, what is the distance before that price gets "capped"? How far would I have to go before holding out for a higher price becomes pointless?

Sorry to ask for information that I KNOW is out there, I just can't find it!

TIA

Not what I was looking for, but +1 and thank you, and man, I'd love to have that as a poster.

Maybe I'm mistaking what I remember, confusing it with rares, which I know increase in value the further you go from their origin. But I could have sworn planet data scaled as well. Ah, well, I'll just sell it at my first opportunity, I hate getting ninja'd on a FTF more than I hate losing credits.

Hey, what is the origin of that graphic? I'm wondering if they'd sell a print of it.

If you scan planet system A and are 25 Ly away its worth lets say 10
If you scan the same system and are 10,000Ly away its worth lets say 1,000

That's how I understand it so there is no chart but the chart someone posted above conveys there is a scan value per the types above.

This actually proves that I was wrong. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

There are many factors which have no effect whatsoever on the value of a scanned body's exploration data:

  • Distance from sale point. Note you can't sell data at stations within 20 ly from its source.

I dont think the above is accurate, happy to be wrong tho. When I went to Colonia the scans I did closer to the bubble were of higher value than those closer. Same seems to apply opposite of the article on this.

No, it is accurate. The only factors that modify the base value based on the type of body are if it is terraformable, a first discovery, and its mass.

Distance from sell point makes no difference at all. A first discovery of a planet near the bubble and the first discovery of the exact same planet type and mass 50k ly away will both sell for the same price.
