Universal is the real culprit?

Considering Universal is not their publisher, no, I don't think Universal rushed them. That all depends on what contract Frontier may have with Universal though.

Based off of what we've seen, Universal allowed Frontier to use their assets as well as create their own under the Jurassic Park/World IP under certain conditions and restrictions that Universal would enforce in regards to the portrayal of their IP (i.e. why we don't have lethal weapons among other design choices). I don't think Universal is forcing them to release without delay. I think Frontier is forcing themselves to release at this time, despite the massive crunch it'll result in as well as unfinished aspects of the game being visible at/near release. This is all to release within the window of JP's anniversary and the premiere of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. That's not to say Universal probably didn't encourage that, but I don't think they forced Frontier's hand.

I read what you said but somehow that is hard to believe. I mean maybe Frontier just pushed for this date for selling/marketing reasons because it does boost sales when a movie of the same IP comes out. So maybe Universal was not involved in a monetary sense.

It's not me saying. I didn't make it up. It was said in a interview with Michael Brookes. They asked him if Universal was funding the game and he said "I wish". Meaning Frontier is self funding and publishing. That would be exactly why Frontier would want to get the game released, given the hype with the movie every 8-13 year old is going to be screaming for this game.

On second thought, they could have put that date themselves. Jurassic World Lego came out at the time of the film and made a success because it was in the launching season of Jurassic World, because of the hype for the film. They are not at all wrong to do this, Brett C said they are working on big changes like animations. So they simply could not finish everything they planned because of the deadline they created, and the things they could not do will be added in the next updates.

Frontier supports their games. I am finding that some of the people who are complaining and that are getting upset aren't aware of Frontiers reputation. Some just recently heard of Frontier because of this game. I know doing a google search is hard but that's just how people are. A lot of them are lazy and won't even do the simplest most easy things even to help themselves.
