I think it's fair to classify Elite Dangerous as not in a very healthy state.

ED has become a bit like an unfortunate old relative, popped in a home out of the way, and visited once a month or so (unless something more pressing comes up).

Yeah, we all know they are not an indicator of absolute numbers. But they are useful to see general trends.

If you want to look at general trends then amongst the many most played space games Elite is the 4th most played (SteamDB).
For an example Spacebourne 2 which everyone went mad about (personally i gave up on it) is ranked 24th.

But hey that's why we dont pay any attention to charts and just play the game.

I'm just looking forward to the release of Starfield - and the anticipated mass exodus of players / ex-players / never players, posting here that thay are leaving, never to return...

...then welcoming them back in fairly short order.

I'll get Starfield when it is on sale, and after 'the community' have patched it to a useable state.

As for U16, does it matter what is or isn't in it? Whatever it holds, the same old names will repeat the same old complaints, won't they?
