Of course, by the time I made it back to the game, the civil war in Giryak had ended already.
So it was back to eddb.io to check for suitable systems at (civil) war. Found one with stations at a reasonably short distance, went there, got me a "massacre" mission and jumped into the next conflict zone. Killed some 20+ targets in the first go before getting significantly damaged. Pulled out and flew back to the nearby station, just to realise that it has no repair and no ammo restock

Well, there is another station in the system, and luckily it has at least a repair shop, though also no ammo restock. As I still had the massacre mission running, changing the system was no option, but as it was just for ~10 more kills, not really an issue. Did it out of the station with the repair shop, but of course, to cash in the mission, I had to cruise back to the other one; little nuissance really... Doing so, tipped me also over the 50 combat bonds requirements of Juri - took him a minute or two to notice, before I got the message that I can visit him now.
That's where I stopped for the evening. Have to collect the 100k (or 1kk), but as the quick session already paid me ~1.5kk, that should be quickly done. Looked already for a new (civil) war system with a more suitable station to operatre from, but I guess by the time I can play, they will make peace there as well...
Some take-aways from the session,
- chose a (civil) war system with stations near the main star (almost always a smart choice...)
- make sure that the "target station" provides the most important services (repair, restock, refuel, authorities, contacts (for cash-in), maybe large landing pad)
With respect to the cash-in, you can only turn in all combat bonds as complete package. So, to complete the 50 bonds requirements, you have to cash-in all your latest kills. Then you have to go out again to another round of CZ killing, to collect the bonds for the 100k (or Inara also lists a potential 1kk), which you then have to turn in at Juris base. Haven't done it yet, but I guess Juri will just take the sum he demands, and after he has done so,
you can turn in any excess bonds at the contacts at his base (Edit: nope, seems to work only with bonds from Gyriak). Doing so improves your standing with him and thus may reduce number of rolls for any engineering with him afterwards.
If you do the combination with a massacre mission, you complete those via the mission board of the station where you got the mission, but no need to turn in the bonds at the contacts. That's important to remember for the 100k part, as you need to turn those in at Juris base.
All this rambling as a little guide for the the next one planning to unlock Juri.
