- The tree kangaroo is not an essential addition to the game and it'll be perfectly fine if we never get it.
- Hamadryas baboons are creepy and i prefer to get the Geleda or the Golden snub nosed monkey if we ver get a Mountains pack
- i don't think how common an animal is in captivity should be a factor to consider when requesting or getting an animal for the game. I want tons of non-in-captivity animals a lot more than very common ones.
- Barbary sheep are very low priority for another wild goat-like animal and i prefer the markhor, takin or even the Rocky mountain's goat and Big horn sheep.
- We need another cold climate penguin (rockhopper mainly)
- We need the rhea both for TRUE SA representation and to complete the ratite roster and i hope we get it as anniversary animal this year.
- I don't like the nilgai and i think the blackbuck is more important and hope it is the asían antelope we get.
- There are African antelopes that are still needed and Will be happy if includes in future packs (Kudu, eland, gerenuk, duiker)
Let's see . . .
- The North America Animal Pack is hands-down the best DLC
- Frontier should stop making scenery packs altogether in favor of animal packs and just give us the Thememaker's Toolkit
- We simply don't need a third brown bear species, frankly the two we have right now is too many
- Rabbits are boring, and we shouldn't get any outside of a petting zoo/domestics pack
- Fully aquatic animals would be better suited for a future game like Planet Aquarium
Oh got another one:
- Animal Packs are nice, but scenery packs are what actually keeps the game fresh and interesting
- Discussions on these forums would be much more interesting if the discussion would i like x because... and not just i like x
- Half the hot takes arnt hot
- An update that would just be optimisation so that the game runs smoother for everyone would be easily one of the best
- Africa is the most complete continent and wed be at no loss if wed never get another African animal
I like x because.... I like x. Problem solved ! To be fair though, most people want animals because they like seeing them in real life not some deep meaning.
- The tree-kangaroo is nowhere near "essential", I like them but I can think of at least 3 more necessary animals from Oceania.
- The Aoudad/Barbary Sheep is the best choice for a new caprine.
- Serval is the best option for a new felid.
- Hamadryas Baboon and Gelada shouldn't be an "either or" situation, really both would be great and valuable distinct additions.
- I would not be opposed to another Old World Porcupine as a clone pick.
- I would want a Children's Zoo pack to be fully domestics, we need a good roster of them to make an actually good farm area.
- Callitrichids should be walthrough exhibit animals if added.
- We are nowhere near close to running out of new scenery themes despite what some people say.
I have seen a LOT of people say that they don’t want any more primates in the game for various reasons, a lot of the time it’s either the climbing system or the fact that a lot of people seem to be scared of primates for some reason. Believe me, I’ve seen it said multiple times on this forum, but more commonly on reddit, that people would be happy if we got no more primates. The ‘more primates’ discussion has been hotly debated, which is why I think this is not exactly ‘popular opinion’.In which universe is that an unpopular opinion?

These are pretty spot on, I agree 100%. I think the baboon situation is more either or now because we missed the opportunity to get the hamadryas in arid, but if we have support all year in 2024 its definitely a possibility.
Exactly. Absolutely agree. I'm tired of always only having Llamas in the Petting Zoo. We should at least get domesticated Goats
I've seen People use those weird Wombat Gargoyles by sinking them into the Ground to make smooth Rocks which would be great for the Edge of a Pond, for Paths or just as Decoration between Plants
Still possible to tell them apart though.
Also the House Cat was domesticated from the African Wild Cat

Exactly. I'd prefer Gentoo Penguin and Adelie Penguin. I definitely See though why the Rockhopper Penguin is so popular and would also be happy with that one, even though I would still hope for at least one of the two I've mentioned

They are very closely related afterall, + most likly theres atleast some european wildcat genome in our domestic cats due to simply breeding between wild and domestic/feral populations
- we need more Petting Zoo Animals
- we need more similar Species / Subspecies (Grevy's Zebra, Sumatran Tiger, Massai Giraffe, Green Peafowl, American Flamingo, maybe New Guinea Singing Dog if they wouldn't waste a DLC Slot for it but sell it separately or put it in a free Update)
- we need way more Plants. Especially tropical. Each Continent and Biome Combination should have a good Selection
- Central Europe could still need a few more Animals
- european Subspecies / Counterparts of some of the Animals would be great (Wolf, Brown Bear, Bison)
- same to some Extend also the other Way around because the European Lynx is probably not that common in american Zoos
- we need Fish too
- Marine Mammals would be a nice Addition to the Game
- it would still be nice if there should be a Way to fix how Billboards display Pictures and Videos, so we don't need to make them darker
- there are still so many awesome Ground Birds that Frontier could add (Australian Brush Turkey, Prairie Chicken, Western Capercaillie, Secretary Bird, Victoria Crowned Pigeon, Ground Hornbill, Heron and Stork Species, Waterfowl, Lyrebird even though I think those would mostly be for the australian Zoos, Green Peafowl, Red Junglefowl and many more) but of course Aviary Birds would be also great someday and I would be really excited for them
- additional Exhibit Sizes including bigger ones

It's definitely a big Problem for the European Wildcats and I bet there might be a relatively big Amounts of Cats whose Owners don't know that they are partially Wildcats

I have two big ones:
- People only want flying birds because we don't have them. The moment we get them, people will treat them like exhibit animals at the side of their zoos. Same thing happened in JWE2 with pterosaurs, and honestly that's how real zoos treat aviary birds.
- Discussing and engaging with the community is fun, but actually playing Planet Zoo gets exhausting real fast. Translating the ideas in my head to actual ingame assets takes way more time than I can afford as an adult.
