Update 1.12.3 is available now!

Thank u frontier for this life-saving update! so happy that the Striped Hyena Zoopedia Image and Animal Icons has been updated! and also the fact that now the Emus can share habitat with the Wallabies and with Kangaroos It's freaking amazing! but the emu still not a walkthrough animal! which I would love to see cause zoos really made an walkthrough habitats for them! but still thank u so much for this amazing update!

I am pretty disappointed in the changes made to the dry grasses. They were quite different from existing pieces and were much better for it. Now they don't really look like dry grass at all. I would really like it if you would make a new set of items with the old coloration because it's kinda ruined my latest zoo. Yeah. Not thrilled this is happening weeks after the initial release.

What did they do? Like how different is it?

This user shows it off. It's a really bad change tbh. Completely ruins my current palate which is infuriating.

We finally had enough pieces to make a truly dried out grassland or xeric grasslands etc and now its gone. I modeled my latest zoo off of that and now it looks like crap. They're basically the same tone and shade as the drinn grass, all of them.

Thanks for all these fixes! I am, however, still confused about the tours and the guest's well-being. For me now the average of the tour rating seems to be calculated correctly, but the guest well-being itself is still less than 1 star? How are you able to get a higher well-being rating with the tour? I have several animal talks and in between several intermission points and one at the end (as some people in my comments told me that is how they got their tour well-being higher, but it doesn't seem to work for me - so far)

I also started to use dry grass in my grazing herbivore enclosures, since having long fresh grass in a place full of animals that mainly eat that, isn't very realistic. The dry grass was great for getting some detail on the ground that could have a chance of ''surviving''. Now it all looks eatable again...

I have to agree, it looks like a low quality. I hope it will fix soon. if it didn't been from intentional so I hope frontier will check it. because It's just make this beauty grass looks now less beauty. but I hope it will fix S O O N.

Thank you for the update! :)
But has anyone else noticed guests complaining that "it's a shame that lemur/monkey/etc has nothing to climb on" even though they do?? I wonder if it's something to do with the fix for false escapes that sometimes happened when animals were climbing.

I just downloaded the update and I’m still having this problem with the pre made herbivore habitats still, I’ve been having this problem since the twilight pack came out and the problem still hasn’t been resolved yet if anybody reads this and your having this problem also report it to frontier issues website I don’t understand why this problem hasn’t been resolved yet.

What problem even? Also just build them yourself when you struggle with habitat blueprints, theve been wonky since release

What the problem is the fact when I try to put the habitat on the ground it goes right through the ground instead I need this problem fixed so I use my aviary for Red Crowned Cranes and I’m not the best builder in the world

I highly doubt a bug since release is gonna be fixed , I suggest watching some YouTube guides if you struggle making basic habitats

What do you mean with “it goes right through the ground instead”? Your screenshot shows a habitat that is raised above the ground, i.e. the door is above the ground level, not “through the ground”. ??
When you place blueprint items, they always align their lowest point with the ground level. Therefore, if you don’t adjust them before placing (ctrl+x), they will be placed in an elevated position. It looks like this happened with the habitat in your screenshot: something in that blueprint goes below its original ground level, most likely the water area. Have you tried lowering the blueprint into the ground so that the door aligns flat with the ground level before placing it?

The bug that @Brandon Gill is talking about was introduced with the Twilight pack. They changed something and since then when placing one of the premade habitat blueprints, the terrain is raised (even if you perfectly adjust the blueprint to the ground level) and it makes a kind of a pit around the habitat. The habitat door appears sunken on the ground and you cannot connect a path, so the habitat is invalid. In addition, you can't modify the terrain that has been deformed around the habitat because it is obstructed by barrier. Therefore, the solution is deleting the blueprint barriers, fixing the terrain yourself and placing new barriers again. The main purpose for the premade habitat blueprints is that people who don't like building or don't have good skills to build a habitat themselves can play the game. If Frontier includes blueprints but they cannot be used, it should be fixed. I reported the issue back then for Brandon: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/55358

It would be nice if other people would contribute to the issue even if this bug doesn't bother them. Meanwhile, the only thing we can do is waiting until Frontier fixes the bug in a future update.

I did contribute to the issue the first time it was mentioned. However one can work around it by placing the blueprint one elevational step down so the path does not have a kerb (aligned with the terrain perfectly) and then flatten and smooth terrain around the edges works despite barriers being present. It's annoying for those who can't build habitats but unlike most bugs it can be fixed

Thanks for the explanation! This must be really frustrating. I hope they’ll fix it soon, Brandon!
