We have just released Update 1.2.3, a small update that focuses on fixing the habitat cleanliness bug some players experienced. Thanks to all the community members who sent in their save files, so we could work on getting this bug fixed ASAP! We're working on Update 1.2.4 now, so please keep reporting any pesky problems you come across to our Issue Tracker and we can work on resolving them!

Planet Zoo - 1.2.3 Update Notes
  • Fixed habitat cleanliness issue - Keepers were not cleaning habitats if cleanliness was 100%, causing unintended balance issue.
  • Fixed an issue where an animal would consider itself escaped while swimming in the middle of the water.
  • [Audio] Fixed placement preview audio feedback not playing when the game is paused.
  • [Scenarios] Offspring in scenarios will now display their parents in the Genealogy panel instead of unknown.
  • [UI] Added missing Flexicolour tags for assets from the South American Wood Panel Set.
  • Improved the LODs on SA_WoodPanelSet_Vines_02.
  • New World large and small blueprint shell prices have been reversed so they now display correctly.
  • Added missing translation text for the ability to edit terrain around barriers and enrichment items in the options menu.
  • Removed dark lighting artifact on Temple Stone Support Beams 07 at LOD 2 and above.
  • South American Shelter blueprints now appear under the "Shelter" sub-filter like other blueprint shelters.
  • Fixed a leg pop on the Giant Anteater swimming animation.
  • Fixed Capuchin Monkey animation alignment when close to enrichment item on a climbing frame.
  • Fixed an issue where an animal could be its own sibling in the Genealogy UI after it had been released to the wild.
Stability
  • General stability fixes.
Thanks all! :D

The habitat cleanliness one is a bit confusing - usually when it happens in my zoo, the keepers are definitely doing the job, it's just that the habitats seem to be getting extremely dirty extremely fast and regularly, which wasn't a problem before v1.2.

Well, if you're still experiencing the habitat cleanliness issue after this update, please make an Issue Tracker report and send us your save file!

I have bought the game just 2 weeks or so before your 1.2 update. Wonderful experience. So I decided to buy all the DLCs + deluxe upgrade right after your 1.2 release. Unfortunately since then the game keeps crashing and crashing and crashing. I have sent to you countless of crash reports. Voted in issue tracker. Opened a support ticket. And the only response I get every 5-7 days is "You should install the update 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3 - in case of no improvement let us know." - case closed. And I am letting you know.

I dont want to be mean, but I cannot really appreciate keepers cleaning habitats more effectively or being able to see ofsprings true parents as I am actually not able to play the game at all.

I thought it is maybe problem of my settings, hardware, whatever. So I tried to play the game on my older PC on Geforce Now. Well I am sorry to say the game crashes there the same way as well.

Next time you should maybe prioritise PROPER beta testing over being able to earn quick 10 euro for DLC.

And believe me I am really sorry I have to write this as your game was worth of buying for me.... before the update. It kind of reminds me EA releasing Sim City in 2013

Hi there
Since I installed this patch the game is unplayable. Its crashing the moment I start my saved challenge game and sometimes its just freezing in the start up screen.
Please can someone look into this
thank you

the bug that been in the game since launch with the jungle adventure ride
Are you sure that's a bug?
I think they fixed/improved something in December but a lot of people just made some mistakes when placing these.
I remember some users helping out other players, who just did something which wasn't allowed by the game.

BTW - adding a few good screenshots could help
or just deleting and building it again.

Sometimes after a few updates (happens with more games) something not working properly can be fixed by placing it again.
(update fixes it for 95% of the players but that 5% did something very specific which the update can't fix on its own)

Game has now crashed twice in 10 minutes while playing carrer mode. Submitted a crash report. This wasnt happening before this patch.

Are the Bird Sounds that can be heard in temperate Europe new or did I just forget about them because I stopped playing in this Zoo for some time because of Bugs?

Yes its a bug, happens in most zoo's that use only 1 station, been a problem since launch when looking back at issue tickets

2 out of 3 don't have any screenshots or much info (the ones from november and april), so most likely they will be ignored - for lack of info. Could easily be user-mistake.

The one from February, looks like it's not properly connected anymore? He mentioned some editing maybe that caused his/hers issue?

Not saying that there's isn't a bug but the ones mentioned in your comment aren't reliable/detailed enough to make this conclusion
