Yeah, my money's on salamander for the slender one. It's very likely the exhibit species either way, I think.
Lynx, ibex, badger, deer, salamander is my current guess but I'm a lot less confident on the deer, and that choice is more informed by how popular of a choice deer are rather than anything from the story.

Ibex, Badger, Lynx sound right. 4th animal I was thinking would be either the Red Deer or Wolverine, and I guess it could be the latter, but as noted already, having two mustelids in one pack is unlikely.

Honestly I didn't pick up on it being called furry so I'm really looking forward to the story getting posted to the forums now. People in chat were heavily speculating otter, but I doubt that one.
