Hi all, we'll be deploying an update to the servers soon. You may end up being kicked/booted/ejected/insert-some-quirky-reason-here from the game while the maintenance is ongoing.

Give it about five to ten minutes if you do get booted out from the game world before logging in once more. :)

The update also brought a old bug back. Interdict wanted npc and get fined for shooting him.

Busy day ! :p

Power Distribution to ENG nerfed, turrets buffed. So small ships are dead again?

And I've wasted my time on my DBS engineering?

And since you nerfed the NPCs spawns yet again, the engineer upgrades will be complete over kill.

Way to cave to the casuals... they're ruining the game. Again

I was wondering if that was them "sorta" telling us that the higher NPCs are now using the super weapons. Bad luck for the higher ranked "casuals". I'm not full time combat, or, more pointedly not WANTING to be full time combat. Does that make me a "casual"? (or maybe just a "casualty")

I really want to see a response to this. The distributor change doesn't bother me nearly as much as the turret change. I wouldn't mind the relative velocity being a factor on turret tracking, but don't also boost passive tracking speed at the same time. If anything, small turrets should have stayed as they were, medium slightly reduced, large reduced further to match turret type to target ship size.

still interdicted by elite ranked anacondas every second jump then. Basing it on player rankings is lame, should consider more randomness and options

I agree, the NPC should be focused on the level of the job the CMDR is handling not the rank. What good is the statement, higher risks for higher rewards if the NPC focuses on the CMDR rank instead? And why make the NPCs act like total buffoons in that CMDrs (roleplaying) can draw NPCs away from important mission cargo and data just by their rank?

Scale the frequency and difficulty of the NPC interdictor to the mission level already.

Roleplaying....(ShimEnki turns and addresses his battlefleet transport Ships...false alarm comrades...go back to what you were enjoying beachside)

Will you be increasing the chance to receive a special effect? It was my understanding that the chance was related to the modification grade, but almost all weapons don't have a grade 5 anymore, which would make the chance to get one naturally on anything other than multicannons significantly lower than probably is intended.

So long as this new patch increases drop rate for military grade alloys... I'll be more than happy....
Because... good grief. It's been 7 days in war systems, killing military, CZs, Authority and mission running and this material still hasn't shown up >.<

just as i was reading the second incoming patch message, i had all my stacked missions change destination in one strike... not nice

what is the changes in the second patch incoming now?

For a start it will be fixing the docking computer I hope. I have also had odd performance issue, took so long dropping out of witch space one run I nearly burned up in the sun while waiting to get control back. Finally the menu delay for the mission menu and system display actually seems to be longer. So that's three that need mending. I suspect this patch is all bug fixing.
