Best of luck, Frontier! I hope this is the patch we've all been waiting for so the Elite community can heal and come back together again.
new permit systems when? Security Permit systems? 
It's probably to late for that but we can hope that it isn't the mess that update 7 was. As to the community coming back together that cant happen until the merge. Will be interesting to see how some of the fixes pan out as the description of the fixes was deceptively vague. Best back up key binds I'm a creature of habit.
Rule 1 of any E: D patch.
Because they have NEVER released patch notes the day/night before an update.
It's got nothing to do with secrecy it's SOP for Frontier.
I never realized they had such a ridiculous policy around patch notes. Been playing for a very long time and mostly ignored patch announcements since <= Horizons was pretty stable. Only reason I'm paying attention now is I have my fingers crossed for certain fixes (eg: lighting). So... uhm... nevermind.
It's like FD's entire communication strategy is designed to alienate. Bizarre.
Frontiers communications strategy in the past has been reactive instead of proactive.
You get used to it.
Most patch notes everywhere come with the patch. It's quite sensible. Like the way product instructions come with products. Putting things together that go together. Like putting forums together with outrage - it just feels right.

Lookin' forward to the patch and the patchnotes. Let's see, what's in that box... hope for some content or QoL stuff on EDH @ Consoles. Landed my Krait savely at Dav's hope, turned off all systems, shut down the main reactor and wait for the Over-the-air-update to upgrade my Krait's mainframe... Gn8

Is there any way i can suggest a fix for a major flaw in a ship that i regularly use but thought would be fix now? And its starting to get bothersome.
