How does the framerate/judder compare (particularly on planets) with 0.8+SteamVR+DK2?

This new update apparently includes asyncronous timewarp, which should make a huge difference....

It isn't really as malicious as many people make it out to be, there's a fairly simple reason for them wanting as many people on windows 10 as possible, market share and reduced fragmentation, plus getting more people to have easy access to windows store and such, by getting as many people as possible in on their new platform they get many more customers, they don't really have any intention of scaring people away, of losing customers, yes, automatically updating to windows 10 is weird, but it is an upgrade. Windows 10 is not malicious or anything and in terms of 'spying' on you, last I checked, all the data it collects it collects for a reason, for example cortana needs access to certain things, calendar, email and such in order to work as an assistant, in the same way siri functions, heck siri has access to a lot more, yet people have not been complaining about it spying on you?

Guessing because Apple is perceived as more trusted then Microsoft, yet people forget that it is to Microsoft's advantage that people enjoy their product, more sales more everything, they are a market leader, a position they don't want to lose.

FD should then release their Integration of 1.3 also on the 28th when Oculus arives. Forces me to play without the Rift now.

Your are of course correct... hasty message as I try and get it running :)

I thought 1.3 wasn't out? But then you already have a CV1 and mines still in the queue.

Does it auto pick up the headset? There seem to be no internal settings in the Options anymore to select VR

I'm not going to winge too much... at least we have Rift support. Bummer though, there goes my Easter weekend playing unless 1.3 arrives prior to the 28th...

The Oculus 0.8 runtime, coupled with SteamVR might still work. Worth a try.

(I'm at work and can't fiddle with ED for another 6 hours or so....)

Agree with you! salvageable wreckage should be legal, at least for the escape pods

Thx grnbrg. Tried this some time ago but i wasn´t able to get it to work for whatever reason. Thanks anyway, i will give it a fresh try.

1.3 is available to select VR developers right now. This is also how he has a CV1 (or more accurately, a near-final engineering sample) to run it on. It will be released publicly on Monday.
