10% refuel... why? fuel too costly? lol

Yup, must admit I'm somewhat bemused by the outpouring of joy over this bugfix. What even was the 10% bug? I haven't clicked the 10% refuel button once in 16 months of gameplay (and yeah yeah, I'm a Buckyball Racer so I understand Cmdr Alot's point, but even so).

I was "force updated" into Win10 about 2 weeks ago (I left my PC alone for a couple hours and when I came back it was like 70% through the upgrade... ?!?)
Yeah I was in the same boat... The Win8.1 PC upgraded to Win10 one day, next day the Win7 PC did the same. Gutted, I wanted to keep Win7 on the old one.
But what confuses me here is: What is "Oculus 1.3 SDK"? The current version for PC is 0.8, the one for official release I suppose is 1.0? But 1.3?
"Oculus announced the SDK v1.0 back in December, telling developers: “If you’re shipping a Rift title in Q1, you’ll need early access to Rift hardware and new platform features to finalize your game or application.”
Now v1.3 will be launched on 28th March, the same day as the Oculus Rift consumer release."

Damn Ninjas!

Great stuff. Especially the changes to the SRV cockpit!

Can we please also have an option to turn off ship cockpit motion for non-VR users? It is uncomfortable for some, and just plain annoying for others. Many thanks for considering.

- Fix for purchased exploration data not always giving details on all bodies in that star system

That'll be the first thing I'll try...

Currently, UC
- frequently has no Map Data at all for many fully explored Systems inside 20LY
- has not once ever sold me a full set with all Details
- often fails to sync with existing Map Data (own Exploration) and offers some System Map Data over and over, even if it doesn't actually do anything (i.e. already 100% Explored or already purchased multiple times)

As I like to get Map Data whenever available, seeing UC finally becoming a useful Service Provider would be sweet :)

1.3 will be made publicly available with the launch of the Rift CV1 on March 28.

So today is the 24th, and I have 0.8 (and 0.6 through the SDK switcher tool), so am curious what will happen after the update, will it run with 0.6? Or only 0.8? Or neither?:S

I can wait 4 days for the sdk but it's a 4 day bank holiday weekend here in uk and I will be sad to not use my dk2 for the holidays :(

I imagine to stay light to make fighting easier - full tank means you are heavier for turning. :)

It's not just that, it's important for traders too. Carrying 32 tones of fuel when you only need 10 can mean an extra jump in your trade route for no reason.. and it's annoying having to install a smaller tank as a workaround..

I don't think that's a bug. Makes sense that you have to know they're Wanted before you shoot them.

if they attacked you then you do know they are wanted, the very act of attacking you is a crime.

my pet hate however is the bug when ships are shooting me and not turning red.

From support on twitter:

Today's release is for the 1.3 Oculus SDK, and there are no known work arounds for the DK2 at this time.

If you do combat and need to travel around a bit, like when doing expansion in powerplay or running down to Federation, Empire or Alliance space to collect KSW bounties, a big fuel tank is more convenient than a fuel scoop, but it spoils your agility. That's no problem for travelling, but it is a problem when you want to go and fight. It would therefore be an advantage to have a big fuel tank and run it near empty for fighting and full for travelling. Logical, my dear Watson!

Ahh right. Not a problem I've ever really experienced as I always go with full fuel and also have a fuel scoop on all ships. Even then, I don't think I would stress over whether it would mean an extra jump or not. :)

Great that the bug's are being ironed out however what about doing something in support of inara to link it to ELITE rather than the mess of adding files here there and everywhere just to get it working.
