We encountered a small issue which has required a little additional time to resolve. Everything is moving along well but it does mean that the servers will need to remain down for a little longer. We'll estimate up to a couple of hours but we'll keep you informed as we know more.

TRANSLATION:

Something went very wrong and nobody has a clue when the servers will be back online. Panic is everywhere, those who had the day off were called in and we'll estimate up to a couple of days for the solution, but we'll keep you informed if the servers go back online earlier, with only exploration data lost for everyone.

Sadly I can't see any VR options in the graphics menu ... and I have a CV1 setup & ready to go. I really wonder if we'll get an explanation on how this whole thing is going to work :( Especially with Oculus Home insisting on running in foreground when I put the HMD on

I would have thought it better to extend and steal some time off the front of the next one. Better time lost at the beginning really.

Doing my first CG, I was hoping to reach the top 15% mark this morning, ah well.

I've started a batch of home made wine instead, cranberry. I'm aiming for about 14% by volume.......I'll raise a toast to server downtime when it's done.

Those people with plenty of spare time won't understand how incredibly annoying it is when we don't get more notice of these Updates.
Even a couple days would do.

I have also used this freakish non-game time to good effect. I made my (currently sick) partner a proper 3 courser from scratch.. bottle of wine and everything. I don't care about the servers now! Wey hey!!

Very dark font had to squint to read it lol

so in short no one has a clue when we will be back online I am guesing !!!

Perhaps this is how FDev promote PvP.

No, sleeping (canada). I didn't know how hard it was to find painite i thought there is no way it will take me a day and a half.... guess i should of done research first haha

18 pages, here we go again.. don't know if this has been answered before, but tldr:
- never fly without insurance/rebuy
- don't stack too many smuggling missions

English isn't my first language, but that word .... I think it doesn't mean what I think it means :)

When the initial time is 1-2 hours and the little additional time is starting to be a factor of that, can we still describe that as 'little'?

I don't even understand why that option is there? Probably back when fuel cost tonnes more than now, but really we don't need it. Free up real estate and put something more useful there. Link to Powers/Galnet perhaps.

How about a 'flush' button. My ship must be full of crap by now. They've never emptied the waste tank.
