Similar, great initiative though. I think the GA is more likely to be the very basics with groups and ambassadors then running other events such as trade routes or bounty hunting for people to get involved in.
We're hoping for it to have a team speak, ambassadors/tutors, player made guides, links to tutorial videos and have this go out to every new player in the game to help get them involved.
Let me know if you would like to be involved.
One thing I really appreciated over the years when learning a new game was a global chat system that existed to help newbs. A lot of MMO's had it and was very helpful initially and then you turn it off.
Zac, hopefully you can get around to answering some of my questions after your statement, or forward them on to people in the know.

You turn it off when you've learned what you think you need. You turn it back on to teach what you know they need.

We'd love to be involved, our whole RP is helping out new pilots and (regardless of what others may try and boast about, or spread lies about) we're all proud of what we're doing and how far we've come as a group. We have an HQ near the starter systems.
Anything we can do to assist, just let us know and we'd be happy to assist with ideas or in game. We never profess to have the best pilots in the galaxy, but our ethos is one of teamwork and team-spirit, and our pilots are always happy to help others.
I'm ramping up the time spent on the forums here, as it's not a resource I've used very often as we've found it's a lot easier to run a group on Facebook and keep everything tidy and have integrated mobile messaging which 90% of the world is a part of. 2 parsec is a measure of distance not time. In reference to the kessel run with Han Solo it's a cluster of black holes in the cannon so doing it in 12 parsecs means the distance from the event horizons, not how long it took him.

Well, if you will come on to posts trying to bad mouth people who've done nothing to deserve it, expect them to correct you when you are utterly wrong. I'm not surprised that people have a grudge when you make up lies about something 160+ people are proud to be a part of.
I was told differently. I was told that the Kessel run was a smuggling run in which the ships that you deliver and take cargo from are constantly moving and the distance grows between them. Completing that run in less than 12 Parsecs was supposed to mean that he did his job so well that he completed it in less distance travelled than any other competitor.
You have to know Error before you actually can understand him. I agree. I forgot about that.
Trust me, he didn't mean any harm.
Unfortunately it's constant. Our pilots generally get together to have fun but are constantly berated by him whenever anything about PBSF comes up on the forums. It's getting old, and tired, and I can't think of anything we've done to actually deserve it.
I'd be happy for Horizons, PDLC and even private groups to be pushed back to next year if that meant they fixed the bug-ridden mess that is V1.5

I'm not sure why you're now saying I'm supreme leader who's going to send you to to reeducation camp. Obviously you're trying to have a jibe at me running a dictatorship which would show exactly how much you know about the PBSF and how we're organized.
