An announcement thread is not needed. There is a whole section called "News & Bulletins" for Frontier to post in. Creating a thread you think is needed for announcements when there is already a space for that, just clutters up the forum (as if it wasn't cluttered up enough already).We're trying to get an announcement thread set up. I don't think they'd delay something that would bring extra revenue lightly.I find it a bit strange that the delay coincides with the Thursday tick. It can't just be because of some last minute problem with the Cobra Mk5

I don't disagree, per se, but it's a constant reoccurrence that Frontier don't, and apparently won't utilise that section to forward these minor updates to the forum community. Our choices are either share these updates ourselves, which has been somewhat done ad-hoc as subjects arise, but become hard to find and the same questions get asked repeatedly, or we do nothing and hope Frontier changes. At least by having a single thread, anyone that wants to be kept up to date can just follow that thread and be notified when it's updated.
Yesterday it looked like 3 days to go and about 3 days of work. Very tight. You make the decision to stand down the team doing the release the day before.
I do wish that the notification had happened here on the forums as well (I have never had an account on X/Twitter or FB, so missed those). I did spend some time getting modules engineered for the MkV, so I'm all ready to go
They probably wanted the release of the Mk5 to coincide with ED's 10th anniversary (Dec 10).
Tuning into Optimism FM, maybe FD have some bug fixes nearly ready and wanted to get them in?
