Updates are coming!

I knew frontier would work on this game. We all just need a little patience. I am glad that frontier is working on the game to make this game better! Thank you Frontier!

Okay, so the news is, they will have some news soon...

The road map thing was previously mentioned here on the forums, although not that it was being finalised, but that alone means nothing, it could take 1 hour to finalise, or 6 months. I don't think there was anybody who thought the game would be abandoned... or was there?

<snip>
We're currently working on collating ALL of the feedback and from that, we will create a timeline for future development of the game. We will definitely communicate more once it's all ready, and news will come through the official channels only (forums, newsletters, etc.)! In the meantime there might be a few small updates here and there with bug fixes.

Hope this helps!

So long as the news hits the official channels (here on the forum / newsletters) and I don't have to follow Reddit / youtubers to get it, then all is rosy ;)

Edit: Forgot my ellipses ;)

At least we now know that frontier is working on a roadmap and will show it once it is finished. The thing about this video is that a lot of people lose patience in the game and demands some sort of news. Next thing you know it, they end up refunding the game or just abandon the game. So based on this video, it gives a lot of people hope that this game will improve along the line. Looking forward to the roadmaps of what frontier have to offer in JWE :)
I never lost faith in frontier. I knew that they are going to improve the game in the future.

I'm really curious about the contents of the roadmap and the direction JWE will take in the future. I'm crossing my fingers that it is not going to take too long.

Some could take longer, some don't. We just all have to be patient when they reveal the roadmaps and when they implement all the fixes and possible additional content. Till then, I will enjoy the game as it is :)

I think I will be having a heart attack when the road map comes – either over-hype or sink into deep disappointment.

If the latter is true, I wish their road map is refreshable and flexible – by continuously taking in ongoing feedbacks rather than making it a onetime thing. To me, it is hard to value some things before it actually exists and different parameters do interact unexpectedly sometimes. Therefore, flexibility, on a step by step basis, is needed as the game develops.

To be more precise: I hope it doesn't take too long for them to release some form of roadmap or at least info where the game is heading in the future. Will it stay an extremely "casual" game, geared towards a young audience or will there be some major overhaul of game difficulty and game mechanics etc.? Will there be new maps or game modes?
My primary concern is replayability and I hope they are going to mention something in that regard. You see, I "finished" JWE on 24th June after 47 hours of game play and haven't touched it since. Everything is unlocked and all islands are at 5 stars. The only replayability is to wipe all islands and start the same short campaign (that I've already 5 Star'ed) once again. I might actually do that, because after a months of hiatus, I'd really like to play the game again, but that's no true replayability.

The only thing we know for sure is that there will be both kinds of posters, once the info hits the forums [big grin] It doesn't even matter the content of the info: There will be the usual fanboys going all crazy about it and there will be the usual doomsayers who claim "Told you so, game is dead gg.".
I'm probably not going to have a heart attack over it either way, since (as I said above) I haven't touched the game in a month and got some distance to it already. Also, I am currently flying with the space nerds from a few forums further down and having one hell of a great time in Elite: Dangerous.
However, I promise: If I like the content of the roadmap and if it includes their ideas about improving replayability, I'll be properly enthusiastic about JWE again and as a "thank you", I will name my next spaceship in Elite in Bo's honor. [yesnod]

Please don't forget them again - they're important! [haha]

They will give us the roadmap soon. They have been processing all of our complaints and wishes to see what could be improved. I will say this again, we all have to be patient when the time comes :)

Yes Indeed. In fact, I hope the road map will arrive slowly. No need to rush as the more important thing is to make right decisions.

I just hope its a bit more detailed than:

:p Joking of course.

I am not expecting dates, things immediately or any such nonsense. In fact, I am not expecting anything, but it would be nice to see if any of the ideas / wishes are within the scope of Frontiers vision, or what sort of things are, for the games future.

I would pay 60 dollars for a Moves Pack

Basically how wwe2k has dlc moves packs that come out. If Frontier made a Moves Pack which was a ton of new and unique Dino Animations with specific death scenes for Rex vs Spino, pack hunting Raptors, Herbivores rutting and such.... I would pay the full price for the game again if they could give us this type of content.

My game doesn't have bugs, i haven't experienced anything wrong with the game other then stupid AI behavior. Idc about how hard it is to flatten terrain. But if i got the unique animations i expected this game to have so my dinos felt real and alive I'd pay for the game a second time. As it stands i finally just decided to buy OG for pc so i could get mods for it and basically have a fun semi new feeling jurassic park creator.

I'm kind of hoping for another set of 5 dinosaurs and a hybrid soon.

Stegoceratops was on the computer screen in Jurassic World, and adding one more to unlock on each island would have 1 final unlock for each division.

Maybe now all the people who say "Frontier are done with this game and don't listen to us" can quite simply shut up! [yesnod]

I honestly haven't seen such myself, mind you, I don't follow youtubers, visit reddit or the likes.
I'm a bit of a "negative nelly", at the moment, but, I'm still here and that has to say something :)

Personally, I never thought it would be abandoned, but am hoping for more than new dino's, which IMO, the game is not ready for, yet. Similar perhaps, in a way to when Frontier said, they want to get the land dino's right before thinking about aquatic etc. Words to that effect, at least.

Whilst I would expect content packs / dlc to not be free, I would like to think that bug fixes and general gameplay improvements would be free, especially this early on.
