Hello Games just released their 9th free update. Beyond ARX and tutorials, is there an update on Frontier's roadmap? The next update is targeted for the end of 2020, which means potentially May 2021 if things get delayed again. Given they've been "working on things" since Aug 2018, I'm curious to know if 2021 means anything other than another "winter is coming" situation.

What do you mean? - we've been having free updates every 3-4 months - or do updates only count if they're from Hello Games - hmmm?
If we were to synthesize all confirmed information, we know that Fleet carriers are coming in Q2. We know that there will be an announcement about something, most likely carriers, after the 2/21 charity livestream, and before the end of Q2.
Lastly, we know that the New Era is set to release in December of this year. No clue what the new era is, but we should get more details on this after carriers are released.

Cool. In January, Frontier released their 16th free update for Elite Dangerous: 1.1-1.9, 3.0-3.3, Apr19, Sep19, Jan20 (1.5-1.9 coincided with the paid-season of Horizons 2.0-2.4).
The next known free update is Fleet Carriers in Q2 2020, details to come after the end of February.
New Era is scheduled for Q4 2020, and is a paid-update, with details to come during Summer 2020.
If there are free updates during between now and Fleet Carriers, and the next interim to New Era, is unknown at this time.

Frontier has released ~ 15 free updates and several patches so far. Most of them on time.
True, after they used false advertising and openly lied to their customers they all became millionaires and don't need to pay wages anymore. The game probably became a hobby to them while they are drinking cocktails in the sun.
Considering the possible consequences, I strongly advice against it!
I don't know what 2021 is and they have a reasonable track record for releasing updates on time. I doubt it will be delayed. Some features that were meant to be in the update may be though, bit the update itself I doubt.
One can wish... Each of their free updates is the size of horizons.

Thanks for the link, I did check it out some weeks ago. So since 2018 we had pilot assist modules, Pilot Federation District (was it even further developed?), tutorials and a cash shop updates, is that right? On top of that, they removed Community Goals and GalNet.
