Ok understood. Will the option be available to upgrade from beta to premium beta once the beta starts? I see a few people are talking about this option and would save getting a refund to rebuy the premium package.

New Premium Beta
I gave in after waiting to see if there will be announcement about discount for existing kick starter backers.
I getting a digital copy from pledging £30 in kick starter. now with the £100 premium beta, Will I have 2 separate copies? since I did not used the original pledge against the premium beta... it is getting quite messy, I don't really need two copies of the game so would have been if we could used the original pledge to get our betas.

Not sure to be honest, although if we offer an upgrade you'll probably be able to claim the discount as a refund. Your best bet is to contact the store support on the two copies question.

If that was not to happen, then what one should be able to do is give their surplus license (in my case the £30 KK digital copy with 500 credits and reserved name) to somebody else, of May be give a coupon/credit voucher to buy goodies from my favorite market place. Zaonce.store.
I can't wait for the Beta Premium, I first played Elite on my brothers electron achieving deadly rating, I've not really played many games since my Amiga days, if any game that can take me back to my childhood then this is the one... being married with children that is a huge leap!

One does not "play" ELITE. It's a way of life.
You should keep all your existing extras including the expansion pass. if you'd like to have that clarified email support@zaonce.net and they can give you the full details.

How long do the emails take to come through for the discount code to go from premium beta to alpha?

It's a whole new download, it's different software for each.
I suggest uninstalling the current client and installer (alpha 1.1 issued to beta backers) and go to the store. Go to "My Downloadable Products" and you should be able to see both alpha and beta there. Select the alpa (natch, you don't need beta any more) and re-install. Then get a new code if asked.
Just a guess.
If you've done that, well new codes by e-mail should be a matter of minutes. Check your spam filter.
