Used Legendary Edition - Horizons Pass?

Hi All,

I have just purchased a PS4 Pro and having been an old C64 and BBC Micro Elite gamer many moons ago I am really exited to purchase the PS4 version of the game.

As I'm in my 40s now I have little time for gaming with family life I wanted to try Elite to see if I enjoy it as I did in the old days. For this reason I was lookign at eBay to purchase it secnd hand and save a few quid.

What i wanted to know is regarding the Legendary edition which seems to offer more than the base edition. Will I be able to access Horizons content from a second had copy?
Is it included with the disc or does it require a download code?

Obviously a used purchase will not likely have the code anymore making it worthless purchasing this edition.

If anyone has purchased a used copy of Legendary editon (or deluxe) can they let me know what the deal is with regards the horizons content?

If you use a used copy of the Legendary Edition you will only have access to the base game, you would need to buy Horizons from the PSN store to unlock that content (unless of course the person who sold the used copy didn't use the Horizons code, highly unlikely).

You could wait for a PSN sale and buy the Commander Deluxe Edition there. I've seen it go as low as about 30€ and I bet there'll be even better sales further down the road.

Hi Westlander!

The Legendary Edition, when brand new, comes with the game disc and 2 downloads via codes; one for the Horizons Season Pass and another for 1,000 Frontier Points. Generally 2nd hand titles won't have the codes included so you'd have to purchase the Horizons Season Pass separately from the PlayStation Store. I hope this helps!

My only problem now is I have to wait until Mon/Tues before it arrives. Still plenty od time to watch YouTube videos ;)

Nice! This is the same version I have and I really digged the Frontier Points!

1,000 isn't a lot, but it's enough for some ship name and id plates which work on every ship you buy, and maybe even an outfit for your commander (sunglasses are free.)
