Now I feel inadequate.
I'm eagerly awaiting the Panther Clipper. Hopefully then we'll get class-9 collector limpet controllers. Should be able to get those up around 2,000 tonnes, and they will control 5 limpets.

That seems a bit silly
But then again I always wondered why a doubling of the controllers mass that comes with a size increase would only give me control over one more limpet (apart from the improved range that comes with it).

You don't double the controller size to get an increase of one limpet, you quadruple it. Does that start making sense now?
You're right of course, I forgot that controllers only come in oddly numbered flavours. I'm sure the extra weight comes from the additional quantum thingie necessary to control several trajectories at once. Or maybe there's a special permit needed for the luxury of using several limpets at once that's carved into a monolithic stone slab made of neutronium which you have to carry at all times in case the limpet police shows up.
