Using GlovePIE Freeware as a voice commander (like VoiceAttack) for Elite: Dangerous

Hi fellow commanders,

I made a short video (sorry, only 360p resolution for now) of a short voice command test run I made using GlovePIE. You can find the video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHjMZ7hCB8o

GlovePIE is a (free, as in "free beer") tool which can be used instead of some commercial tools like e.g. VoiceAttack.

You can download it from it's home page at http://glovepie.org/

The PIE script I made (in about an hour) for this test can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/elitedangerouscommunity/792897430775755

Have fun! :-D

Cheers,

I've been using (free) GlovePie for months now and love it. Not only can you do voice commands but you can add modes to your joystick buttons to double or triple the amount of buttons at you disposal.

GlovePie - getting complicated

Been wrestling with glovepie to do more complex commands in a structured way.

First attempt was a basic set of if statements and that got to 1400 lines and was very unwieldy.

I tried again and this new version is better, needs work but is more structured.
All the instant commands are easy, some with extra voice back - I love that :)
It can now do some sequence commands without getting its self in a twist.
So I can go straight to the contacts or navigation and then it knows where it is in the tabs to be able to go back there again.

If anyone is interested I can post the script as it stands its a bit shorter at 700 lines long.

Has anyone experimented with the 'swallow' command so that a key you press can be used in side the glovepie code and so it can know that you have manually gone to one of the screens?

Cheers
Kaylee
