Using IF to redeem multiple bounty vouchers....

So I haven't used a KWS in a while.
I've been using one for the last few days.

I have so many bounties at various systems to cash in even though I've only been bounty hunting in Cemiess.

To fly around all of those would take ages for no added gameplay that I can identify.

Going to Interstellar Factors they take 25% of EVERY SINGLE bounty voucher.

Would it not be more resonable to take 25% of the combined sum. Or is my maths SO bad that my suggestion would work out that I'd be receiving less for turning in vouchers at IF?

It just seems overly exhorbitant.

12 vouchers in total where 1/4 goes to somebody sitting in an office?

The only NPC's who are bigger thieves are the Material Traders!

Is there a way to collect all the vouchers without flying around 12 different systems?
Am I missing something?

Well, they do take 25% of every Bounty Voucher. Means if you click on "sell all" they'll take 25% total ;)

(yes, your math might be a tad off there indeed :D .. doesn't matter if you click on individual Vouchers or Sell it all in one batch... Percentage remains the same : 25%)

If they take 25% of every transaction isn't that more than if they took one lot of 25%?

Or do they take 25% of the whole and it just looks as though it's 25% of every transaction?

Confused...

The math part is already covered, no need to go there any more. And on this one: no, there is no other way than IF or visiting all systems. So perhaps those guys, who take a 25% cut, are not just sitting in an office but flying around? :)
.

Yeah, 25% is 25% no matter how many times you slice it!

For me it's all about the convenience. 25% seems like a huge hit in isolation, but I don't normally visit an IF until I have at least 1,250,000 in out-of-jurisdiction vouchers. So I look at it as getting an instant 1,000,000+ credits for "doing nothing", especially if I've stumbled upon the IF on my travels rather than having deliberately sought one out. As long as it's more than a million when I click that button, I don't even think about the IF's cut.

I guess FD could make things more interesting by offering a discounted IF fee in those systems with which the player is friendly with the controlling faction. It might encourage players to shop around, or stay sweet with factions they might not normally bother with.

Ah fair enough. It's just one of those things that on the face of it looks as though I'm paying more than I actually am.

That's why I asked. With my maths skills I could've tied myself in knots for ages!

Thanks folks!

I see the kws as a big bounty bonus so I don't even think about any loss.
Also love finding warrants on clean targets. Feels like finding a perp who thinks he got away with it :)

Yeah, I mainly use IF when I just, end up noticing I have some bounties accrued and happen to be checking the contacts screen.

Then again, I don't really bounty hunt directly, it's more like people with bounties just get in my way here and there.

No later than being in Colonia and getting KWS Bounty Vouchers for dozens of RNG Factions 22000LY away... 25% discount to cash them in will feel like a gift package ;)

(in comparison, my occasional "xxxxx Cr Intel Data Package for Alliance/Federation/Empire" is stuck in my Transaction Tab forever... so not flying 44000LY just to cash these in :p )

Always thought it was weird that I instantly received a bounty voucher when I kill a wanted NPC.

Like magic, the voucher is instantly recorded in my ship's computer. Clearly some communication occurs with some distant database through space to inform me that the target is wanted, and that I have been awarded a "voucher". Why not just pay me at the instant I kill the scrub? It's not like I'm turning in his corpse.

I think they should do 10x the payouts, but we have to scoop up the pod as proof. Otherwise, pay us the dang money right when we kill em' - there is no reason for this weird in station turn in process.

25% ain't bad... it's a convenience charge I don't mind paying

It's getting worse when remembering to pay the crew. I hold currently 3 elite NPC's in stock that take 31% of my money. (two from harmless, one from mostly harmless).

I've never checked when their 31% applies but it's something like 1.000.000 bounty on IF -25% is 750.000 and than -31% = 517.500 credits.

So when handing over stuff at IF i always get just around half of the money. I just don't mind because money is not a problem for me at this time xD

Since you're in Cemiess doing combat stuff, I have a neat tip for you. All assassination missions, and I mean ALL of them, wing and normal, coming out of Cemiess, are to Vequess, right next door. No exceptions. This in itself is convenient, but when you throw in the fact that Vequess has only one body and it's right next to the star, it is by far the most convenient place I have ever found to do assassinations. :)

Yeah I noticed this, and this has never changed, right back when Power Play launched. I got rank up with ALD before she was Emperor to about level 3 so got the bonus for bounty hunting.
Made enough money to buy my first Python here.

Oh crap! It's been openly discussed nerf bat incoming! ;)

Somewhat related question ... since ALD (o one of them) exploited systems give a 20% bonus to bounty vouchers .... if you turn in at an IF in their system, do you only truly lose 5%?
