Summary
System: Polevnic
Station: Tanner Settlement starport (Coriolis Starport, large pads available, 48 Ls from main star, xxx Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deliver Animal Monitors, Auto-Fabricators, and Micro Controllers
Time limit: 15th August 3310 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Utopia has asked for commodities in the Polevnic system, as part of an initiative to update its reference library.
Simguru Pranav Antal, leader of the commune, provided this message to all news channels:
“In recent years, Utopia has been inexorably drawn closer to the mundane politics, rivalries and conflicts that beset humanity. I am especially concerned about the increasing risk of our advancements being duplicated, as with the Vitadyne nanomedicines that were stolen from us. Misuse of our other inventions could lead to a shift in power or colossal casualties, something my conscience will not permit.”

“And yet, while Utopia's gaze remains fixed on the horizon of humanity’s potential, the corporations we seek to avoid insist on making their presence felt. External suppliers to our commune have been bought or dissuaded by Li Yong-Rui, who hopes to leverage an exchange agreement between us. Such tactics put the archives of data which inform our simulation technology at risk of becoming outdated.”

“As we oversee a campaign to acquire necessary data updates, I ask members of the galactic community to bring certain trade goods to Polevnic in exchange for an appropriate payment.”

Utopia’s initiative is being organised by the Guardians of Harmony faction, which has requested deliveries of animal monitors, auto-fabricators, and micro controllers to Tanner Settlement starport in the Polevnic system.

The top 50% of contributors will receive a Krait Mk II Crypsis Yellow paint job.

The campaign begins on the 8th of August 3310 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Animal Monitors, Auto-Fabricators, and Micro Controllers to Tanner Settlement in the Polevnic system.

Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.

Notes:
  • Tanner Settlement is orbiting planet A1
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Shipyard, Outfitting, Repair, Refuel
  • Animal Monitors: 3,759 Cr/Unit
  • Auto Fabricators: 26,782 Cr/Unit
  • Micro Controllers: 39,130 Cr/Unit

Paint job other colors on other ships supposedly glows in the dark. But I am not sold on just the paintjob. Perhaps I will make a run or a few for the $$$

Everyone should be helping Utopia, no excuses we need to monitor those animals!
Wish i could help but im stuck in a muddy field, i will just have to grovel to the great Simguru when i have more time next week.

Is there a good reason to go for the Encoded Materials instead of the Commodities for this CG?
I mean, those grade 3 materials are limited to 200 in the inventory and can't be sold for credits whereas commodities are unlimited in the inventory (if you have a Carrier) and can be sold for credits.
My logical choice is to go for the Commodities.

- If everyone does that the materials one will be a lot easier to get to 50% in.
- the materials CG doesn't risk running out of nearby supply if it gets busy
- Materials CGs have usually also had higher bonus payouts than Commodities to reflect that you're not getting paid twice, but it'll be a while before we can tell if that's true this time, and that may also depend on what relative tiers they reach [1].
- if you're in it for the money neither CG is going to pay particularly well compared to other alternatives

[1] Between "there have hardly been any materials CGs anyway", "this one is asking for G3 instead of G1 materials" and "Frontier have just made material acquisition much easier" I have absolutely no idea where the material CG might end up in terms of completion.

Why not do both? :D
