Release V3 of the Colonization construction spreadsheet is now available!

Not sure what's going wrong with the links, but there's also a link on the changelog tab in the spreadsheet to make a new copy, could use that instead.

Is there a way to get our current systems' data across to a new copy?
Migrating colony from the old version: You can simply copy & paste the structures over.

So you could select cells starting on row 5, from column A to E to include body/slot/name, construction and the notes. You could probably also copy both columns with the checkboxes, as well as the layout variant. But you'd have to those one by one as the new sheet adds some new columns in between.

If you wanted to copy just the constructions, it's possible to click & drag to select in the grey background behind the dropdown button.

Best to use ctrl+shift+v to paste values only into the new spreadsheet.

Hello, I noticed a small bug in the sheets linked to the current build total (it's not binding), see image.

So I've created the replacement formula for you, if needed:

Before : =SI($K$5=VRAI,SOMME(E2:F2)+1,SOMME(E2:F2))

After : =SI($K$5=VRAI,SIERREUR(GAUCHE(E2,TROUVE("/", E2)-2)+GAUCHE(F2,TROUVE("/", F2)-2)+1,SOMME(E2:F2)+1),SIERREUR(GAUCHE(E2,TROUVE("/", E2)-2)+GAUCHE(F2,TROUVE("/", F2)-2),SOMME(E2:F2)))
Otherwise, I'm really happy to have these spreadsheets for the forecast.

Have a nice day. EC

PS: Perhaps add a form to report bugs on the Google Sheet (other than installations)?

Ahhh, there's always something tiny that breaks...
Thanks for reporting, and it's best to let me know of spreadsheet bugs either here on the forums or reddit as it gives me a notification. Or if you mean other in-game bugs related to colonization you can use the form for that.

I've fixed it but people may want to manually fix this as it's just one cell per colony tab to replace so it's less work than migrating entire systems over.

The fix: Copy/paste the following formula in cell K2 on every Colony tab: =COUNTIF($D5:D,"<>")

Thank you for the fix!

I do have a question. How does a bug that is reported in cell I2 get fixed by changing the formula in cell K2?

I think you have the wrong version of the sheet file (3.1 =/= 3.2). I think that's the misunderstanding.

The spreadsheet claims that the T2 L Minerva layout for the military settlement turns into the T1 M Enyo layout when built. Do we know if the security and system points provided are affected?

No, I think I got that report from the issue tracker and it didn't have any other info. But as we can't actually see our total stats in-game there's no way of confirming with 100% certainty anyway.
Although we could see it perhaps through the score and population increase as the Tier 2 Large settlements give more than the Tier 1 settlements. But no one has reported stats on those yet so... feel free to test it out and please report your findings. :geek:
There's still a warning about that in the latest version of the doc, so I thought this might still be helpful.

Just checked the military layout T2 Minerva. The stats provided are as expected, and the settlement has a large pad.

So, apparently, this bug is already fixed, or it occurs randomly.

Fly safe, o7

Is it normal that importing the spreadsheet into Excel breaks a lot of stuff? Or is it meant to be used in Google Sheets?

are there no further updates? what about weak/strong influence between planets/stations? i was hoping i could put in the system planet config and it would make recommendations of what to build >just an idea.

and for the hauling part can i del that don't care about that part? cause of that i prefer v2.0 less crap there

I haven't been home much for the summer months as my concrete box apartment is too damn hot on most days, so I haven't been able to play much since the weak/strong links changes were added to the game.

That said, it may be a bit too much complexity to work all the weak/strong links into the same spreadsheet anyway. I was already running out of space to put more details in while still keeping it somewhat readable and easy to use. There's also only so much you can do with spreadsheets and this was always intended to be a temporary solution until full colonization tools could be developed, with the ability to track all sorts of things from the player log.

Other CMDRs have been working on the influence stuff though, especially CMDR @Wartface who has a thread on it here, I know he also had a spreadsheet to calculate economic links for a system but I couldn't find the link in that thread right now... may have to search for that.

However CMDR @grinning2001 has created a website: Raven Colonial, using the data from CDMR Wartface and my spreadsheet. It can calculate links between ports and supporting facilities as well as predict their economies. It can also work with the SrvSurvey app (see its Colonization documentation here). So I suggest taking a look at that.

I also found a spreadsheet for calculating economic effects on reddit made by CMDR Dubior which might also be interesting but it does seem to be a work in progress thing.

If you mean the "Cargo Hauling" tab then sure, you can safely delete it if you're not going to use it. If you mean certain columns on the colony tabs then I'm less sure if it could break something so I'd suggest hiding selected columns using the menu: [view > group by] function which will collapse them in a way that doesn't delete or break anything.
