Vandalism and security cameras

I have a huge problem with vandalism in this game. I have to manualy go around and replace bins, TVs and speakers all the time. And that takes a lot of time. I tried to put around 20-25 security cameras around a tiny spot, but they are still trashing the place. Does the cameras do anything? In my experience, No.

Maybe the caretakers could help fix this? And maybe the security guards and cameras could do something.

Security cameras and guards are reducing the bad stuff (as well as crime).

But the balance is broken atm.
I took the time to work it on my 7000-8000 visitors a day zoo and it is impossible to hold it
on a bear🐻able level at least.

My zoo looks like nazichina with almost as much cameras as it got street lamps, but it is still a pain in the butt.
Security personal is well trained and plenty.
Same goes for caretakers and mechanics.
All is well organized in small working zones i can adjust quickly (i have zero problems with litter despite the high visitor-load).

It vandalism needs to be tuned down the very least to 50%, if not lesser.

I believe you that this works out, but it is still way over the top in my opinion.
You shouldn't have to build concrete wastelands to keep people from going rampage.

My plazas and main ways are busy, but far from looking overcrowded with an exeption of the main entrance and one or two pathways at the start where i built
indeed too small because noob-me.
I wanted to hand out machine guns to my security personal but i couldn't find them in the shops.

I've got the opposite problem, I've never had anything vandalised! On my first zoo I had cameras and guards everywhere, on my second zoo I've saved the cash and not built any!

I could put some of my vandals in the trading center, maybe you can buy them :)

(No clue what pacified your visitors.)

You could also try and increase the amount and variety of shops (food, drink and souverirs), that had an impact on PlanCo as well... and guessing the mechanics in PlanZoo are similar.

I know in ZT2 guests had a favourite food/drink item and different customers preferred different gift/shop items - is there a similar hidden mechanic here?

Sadly it was easier to keep them happy in ZT2 as the restaurants/gift shops sold a variety of food/gifts (and served large amounts of guests without any queues/littering).

I’m fine with the amount of vandalism right now BUT it needs to be easier to spot. Vandalized items should appear on the happiness of guest heat map and the button to automatically fix them all from PlanCo needs to return. Alerts would probably be nice too.

I don’t find security to be of much help for this. In fact, compared to PlanCo, security seems to be never enough.

There are alerts when there are too many broken items, but it doesn't focus on any when you select the alert so the only solution is to thoroughly go through the entire zoo from close enough to set apart a broken bin from a non broken bin... It should indeed appear on the heat map. And mechanic do repair broken items... if they have time to do it. And if they are not stuck somewhere in the sky or underground...

Not sure how it works here but in PlanCo vandalism happened when guests were unhappy. Fix happiness and fix vandalism. The (later added) security I think only applied to theft.

The problem is getting visitors happy... They just don't want to be happy whatever you do... Except building a financially non viable commercial center with more shops than animals.

They just want to be able to find a shop every 10 steps, it have to be their favorite and also zero lines. And it can’t be pricier whatsoever. Also they get angry with the same trash they throw everywhere despite being multiple empty bins just right there. And don’t get me started on angry guest that don’t get a good view from an animal...because they are standing TWO ENCLOSURES AWAY from the one they’re looking at.

They are super picky. I feel some of them wanted to go to the mall, not the zoo :ROFLMAO:

As I've said, this sums up my guests in a nutshell: they're just impossible to please.
