Vanilla log in while in modified ship

I'm out in the black, and do not want to try this.
Does anyone know what happens if you log in to vanilla after your last exit occurred in a engineered modified ship?

Experiment parameters: Docked at a platform, heavily modified Vulture.

I logged in via vanilla - all mods are intact and viewable through right-side panel. This station doesn't have outfitting but right-panel shows all my toys.

Flight test - all systems, nominal. No "seen but not heard" for the mod listing, still getting 440+ from my modded thrusters.

I'm sure I got my SUV stuck, logged out, logged into vanilla, appeared in orbit, logged back into Horizons and all the engineered stuff was still there. I await Tarman's definitive test though.

I'm guessing nothing.

I've had to switch from horizons to vanilla back when that inside a planet Interdiction bug was common. I didn't lose any mods.

Haven't treid it with mods, but my srv bay wasn't there last time I logged into vanilla on my laptop. Did sell the cargo I rack I put ini before going back into horizons though.

Must have the collector's edition version of the SRV, with 4 wheel drive and a nice warranty (which is void after traveling past the first system, but there you go)
