Vehicle handling needs to be fixed

I enjoyed driving the jeeps in the first game. But in this game the Jeeps feel floaty and drive terribly. I don't remember the first games Jeep being that bad. I know it's not a driving game but the vehicles should handle better.

It's mostly the Jeeps. The helicopters are fine and so are the MVU vehicles. The MVU's might need a little work. But driving around my park in the Jeep is just not very good. The jeep will often hit objects that aren't there and tumble around. It will front first into the ground and spin around. It feels like the driving is bugged. I wished they controlled more like the jeeps from the first game.

The Jeeps are the biggest problem here. The damage modeling is great. But the handling is off. Like how is this worse than the first game? It should be the same at least.

BestInSlot said the Jeeps drive like a shopping trolly. I am an American and we call them shopping carts here. But BIS is right. It's a minor issue but I hope they can fix it eventually. Right now it's just serviceable. It kind of works but it could be better. It was better in the first game which is weird to say.

This is very true.

I only drive jeeps to repair the response facility (which really only involves looking at it) so I can just assign repair tasks.

They accelerate like a steam locomotive, the turning radius of a PanMax container ship, and if the weather turns, the jeep wont: you can expect all surfaces to turn to ice regardless of the actual climate, weather event, or terrain. Throw in how easy it is to flip a jeep on its side despite its debilitated turning abilities, and "float" is, I agree, the best way to describe it: it's like the jeeps exist a little too high in the world and the tires can't get the expected full grip on the ground under them. Driving the jeeps around was one of may favorite things to do in JWE1 (even with a little unrealistic sliding around during storms, the jeep still handled well enough and felt like it had weight); now it's so unpleasant even on a sunny tropical day I only mess with it when I absolutely have to.

I agree the MVU and the chopper are (moslty) fine. I was unsure about the MVU at first, but I've found it's worked out well enough. My only other gripe is that the chopper controls from the shoot view seem more sluggish than in JWE1.

The cornering/turning needs to be fixed. It turns like a boat unless you go very slow. It also needs to have some weight to it. It feels like a light plastic toy. It flips over when nothing is there to cause it to flip. It needs work. I also agree with the chopper controls. The chopper seems a bit sluggish in the aiming mode.

It's really weird how they got it right in the first game but didn't in this one.

Can we get the old driving model and physics back? lol

There is just something not right about the vehicles when driving them.

Couldn't put my finger on the exact reason, but they are very clunky and aren't the most responsive things in the world.
