[VIDEO] Beware the Combat Asp - Asp versus FDL and Python plus Cops

Did you I and play cat and mouse at the CG over Maia way? (It wasn't Maia but the other system). You were in an FDL, I was in a Python. I lost you by making a run for the station and crash stopping in the planetary rings?

Ha... perhaps. I wouldn't attack you for no reason, unless you're Fed-aligned or were attacking other players.

Of course, coming from an Asp when you're in an FDL and Python, you would probably ignore such a warning as they did. I had my primary pvp ship (and FDL) in system, but I like flying the Asp because I get more people who try to kill me.

This is exactly the reason I used to fly underrated ships in EVE. So more people would be willing to engage and not just run away.

I was at the Fed CG (the Imp one at Maia had been UA bombed you I couldn't sell to the market!)

No, my point was that it was great fun. This is the sort of ingame PvP I like, when it has a good reason behind it.

Not a silly question at all. I'm leader of the 13th Legion, a well-known Imperial PvP group. We are dedicated to the Empire, and we show our dedication by defending Imperial space (and CG's) and attacking Federation targets and CG. Eravate is now running a CG that supports the Federation, so we are opposing it. Before the fight started, I sent them a message that said: "This CG is under 13th Legion Imperial blockade. Any ships aiding the Federation will be destroyed. High-wake or die!"

I totally understand now thank you!

3K very Nice how do you manage that, post Engineer Cheat? (Not implying you are cheating BTW, but so so interested as building my combat ASP is now my ongoing project and would love to know?

No cheating needed...Core Dynamics Composites aren't that hard to find. Asp has a lot of internals, and heavy duty HRPs can give very significant bonuses to hull integrity even at the lower end of module sizes.

5 engineered cannons with the current heat OP don't hurt either :D

Yes... we believe that PvP should serve a purpose, not just be random murders. Our purpose is the furthering of the Empire.

Nice Vid BTW, o7

Been grinding engineers since the start. I do have very good rolls, but 3K armor isn't tough on an Asp, especially since that includes an AFM and 2D MRP.

Silly Q: what does "Fed-aligned" mean? Like pledged to a Federation PP leader? Or holding a Federation rank? Thanks! :)

Either pledged to a Fed power like Winters or Hudson, or if the ship name includes FNS (Federal Navy Ship) which marks those that support Fed but don't want to be pledged to a power, or we search people on Inara to see if they're a member of a Fed-aligned player group.

Okay thanks, I'm "safe" then [praise]

People under estimate just how nimble the Asp can be. It's still an extremely versatile ship.

I always wanted to try a frag Asp, but never got around to it. Might have to visit Alioth and get another just for grins. :)
