[VIDEO] CRAZY Encounter - Asp vs. Vette in Atmospheric Combat

Technically not atmospheric...maybe planetary, terrestrial, or macrogravity.

Anyway, definitely not a clean disconnect on his part...could have crashed from the packhounds or could just have severed connection. Hope you reported it.

I will say sorry in advance coz i thought this was a video of greifing attack and was going to respond negatively, but having watched it again i see it is not, a shame that it looks like he c/logged.

I don't PvP,or go in open, but in Open what happened was totally allowed, except the combat log at the end....

What did that poor guy do to you ? that's mean

I agree with that. What is the background of that combat action? Is it only for fun? I think all actions between players should have a valid background that justifies them.

You can never assign intent from the back seat. The real truth is, there doesn't need to be a obvious reason, justification is not required. We can't go around insisting that other players play by our own personal gamer ethics. I don't like it when others try to do it to me, I don't like it when it's attempted on others.

This is why I don't play in open, but if I did, I would expect this kind of thing, in open you are fair game, just like in reality, any random person passing on the street could decide to kill you for no reason. So, working as intended, the only disparity is in the consequences. That's why all the fuss about C&P in E : D.

Part of the reason I stay away from PowerPlay is that my CMDR doesn't like others telling him who his enemies are.

This CMDR was pledged to a power that is openly hostile to many Imperial factions. That's a mighty compelling reason to be treated as an enemy by those factions. If you want the advantages of allegiance, you've got to be prepared to make the power's foes your own, with all that may entail.

Not that any such obvious motivation should be required.

It is only my opinion, I am not trying to impose this criteria to other players, only I don't like these kind of actions.

You have to ask yourself: Why? You commented on the need for justifying an attack. That, along with what you wrote, looked like a judgement call. By the way, 'for fun' simply has to be a reason. Why else do we play video games?

if you are going to use an AI exploit to try to destroy his ship, then you deserve to get combat logged.

Not sure if it's unintentional for there to be situations where it's difficult to dismiss a ship, but even if the intent is to magically enable a ship to always escape unless dealt fatal damage in a matter of seconds, using one exploit to counter another isn't the best way to go about things.

If someone does destroy your ship with an exploit, report them, the bug, and file a support ticket to get your assets back. If it turns out that Support agrees with your take on things, so be it. If they don't, you'll at least get a clarification.

also, if you are so into RPing your PP allegiance, and attack him because of his, then maybe you shouldn't be using packhounds? Since, you know, they aren't from an imperial faction...

True. As a fed, I have zero imp rank and accept the engineer consequences of it (which are pretty severe). These type of pvp players dont really RP anything, they just minmax their ship according to some guide and add some paperthing RP as justification for blowing others up. Which is perfectly fine and allowed, by the way, but the 'RP' perspective is a bit lame.

this all good and all you think this engage was fair game, it is. whats strange is that you come to the forums to show how much of a pro you are for shooting at a not even a fitted corvette with a dude who just wanted to be left alone. if you want to look like a good player post good fights, this was just a poor atempt of ganking, when thats the take dont click bait me to come watch this useless video dude.
