[Video] ED Remix Tape

The number of sidewinders sacrificed should be indicative of the dedication and sheer force of will needed to make this video. Kudos to the creator, and totally looking for more work from him. :D

Brilliant!

Another vote for camera drones to make it easier for everyone to make these awesome video mixes.

However, given the skill and dedication need to make these mixes given current tools is again awesome.

Love the details of the ships in combat: thrusters firing, shield impact effects, space debris with detail of bulkhead struts, etc.

All credit to FD for producing a game which allows many of it's fans the freedom of expression through mediums such as novels, pictures, videos etc.

The GFX Department at frontier has still a lot of work to do, everything looks so blurry and raw, also the AA didnt work very well and the shadows totaly sucks at the moment.

Yes, thats my fault mostly, not FDs, and had alot to do with the questionable, inconsistent post-capture processing I used :D (multiple zooms, alignment corrections, color adjustments etc).

It was all captured through the Sidey's sunroof where I remapped my flying controls (pitch, roll, thrusts etc) so that it was aligned to that viewpoint. Now that I think of it, I've probably spent more playtime flying at 90 degrees than at 0 - still, degrees are irrelevent in space I guess.

Just saw the video about 20 minutes ago and came here to post about it. Seems I have been beaten to the punch by about 7 pages! :D

I have to say - amazing video! This is the best fan made video of ED I have seen to date! Superb control of your ship to get some stunning footage. Well done sir, well done!

Great use of Blader Runner´s lines and Vangelis music too!

While I like Neon Raven's stuff, it all seems a bit slow and considered. The kinetic camera in combat of this video is far, far superior. These guys knock Raven into a cocked hat.

may i ask at what resolution you play? thats the only thing i think could improve the resolution seems quite low.

I really like the sense of narrative to Neon Raven's videos. This piece is more of an action-fest, but really lacks any context. Something that combines the two would be amazing!

THAT .... WAS .... FRACKING .... AMAZING!!!

You, sir, have a keen eye for editing, a great sense of timing, and the ability to use both to conjure a dramatic scene. I can't even begin to imagine how long it must have taken to gather all the footage, let alone do the creative work.

I was sucked in right from the start, and when that first shot of the coriolis station revolving revealed the background - wow!

10/10

Cinematic, that's the word :)

I can well imagine this on the big silver screen as a "director's cut" length advert for Elite Dangerous. The shot construction, the editing, the choice of score...perfection. All of it.

I believe this is yours
