Video game burnout....

I literally don't want to play anything. Unfortunately, I don't have anything else to do at the moment, so I am just sitting here....

Anyone else?

It's pretty common with non-teenage gamers, and is usually connected to games being more and more costly in terms of time investment needed. Being tired after work or otherwise doesn't help either. That's also why my Overwatch hours had already surpassed Elite hours ;P I can go in, play a few matches and quit without leaving unfinished tasks or getting disconnected from the storyline in games like Witcher.

And this is why turn based game will never die. You can leave them running for hours, play a few turns here and there, and still do whatever you want or need to do in between.

Also, I own the witcher 3 and have never played it. As I understand, it is a masterpiece experience (I'm really jazzed about cyberpunk)?

I was deep into a game of skyrim, then Bethesda released some lame little patch for their online marketplace and it screwed up my mods.

I confess to an unhealthy interest in poisons.

Plenty of other hobbies out there. :D Sounds like you just need a change of pace. Try something else out for awhile.

I ve been there when I went unemployed for a few months. Having no routine and no task at hand allowing you to sit on your behind all day long sounds great at first but it becomes hell after a few days depending on how active you are. Like Jenner said you just need to break up your monotony. Read a book, watch a movie, meet up with some friends or do something for your fitness. You just need another kind of input. Its easy to accomplish you just need to stand up and start doing it :)

Gogo team "something different" :D

Had nine months out of work before I first started work. It was a tough time, my long time girl friend walked away. I read a lot and learned a lot about myself though. I did an evening class in programming which eventually led to my current role, via a career as an accountant. I gamed a lot and I especially remember the map I made of every location of Doomdark's Revenge with fondness.

All the best with finding work.

Most years, beside the variety of motorcycling charity ride outs and meets, I take part in the Nijmegen 4 day marches...just to get me out of the house a bit. The last few have been a kinda trial for those of us soldiers who have lost limbs in recent conflicts, mine particularly having lost both legs below the knee in 2001.

I've been taking part since 1978...a few years off whilst recovering from injuries and wars...but I went this year for possibly the last time. Out of my original troop of 21, I'm the only one left and my self imposed finish line of Arnhem was a lonely vigil.
