- Correct mats? Yes, go on. No? Go to a mat trader.
- Enough mats? Yes? Done. No? Go back to the start.
Much more pleasant than that process... god knows why anyone would punish themselves with that.

FDev wont patch squat unless it involves ARX earning rates.
Yes, they did of course patch the exploration Arx earning rate to improve it in the last update after players asked them to. The evil moneygrabbing swines, making it easier for us to buy paintjobs with free Arx rather than having to pay for it!
This is a bit exploity/grindy for my liking. Recently I was in the pleiades splatting scouts to rank up an NPC, and when I picked up one HGE, I'd always find another when I returned to supercruise, this made a pleasant change from them being rarer than thargoid star ports, and is, I suspect, the result of a tweak by FDev in one of the January updates.
I really hope this grindy/farm/exploit doesn't cause them to reverse that tweak "Nerfing" a good thing :-/

And its been like that since 2018... I recently got lambasted in another thread where I queried how much elite content was in the 24hr charity stream, whereby, thanks to community contributions, I learned that I'm a big bad malanthropic oaf

Apart from those personal insights, I confirmed that from the £26,000 raised, as in 26x £1000 milestones, each milestone was meant to being a reveal, like a concept art, developer interview etc, we got a concept art of the mamba.Than, as now, I'm now dissing FDev for hosting the stream, on the contrary I think its extremely laudable of them to do such things for such a good cause. But, the relatively small proportion of content about Elite over the 24hrs shows we are far from their favourite franchise just now.

No, at Dav's Hope you can just relog via the main menu, no need to exit the game completely.

Or perhaps that since watching someone play Elite is pretty boring even when you do play the game yourself, let alone if you don't, they decided they'd probably get more entertaining content from the massive movie franchise game and the recently-released, visually appealing zoo game.
Point being that when deciding what to show on the live stream, you don't even need to get into worrying about whether this game is their 'favourite' franchise. Whatever that even means.
