After a hard morning duck shotting the AI (they still don't fight back) I have got enough cash to buy a Cobra.

Video is uploading now, shows 2 capital ships at once. Three lucky transitions and a good look at the interior of my new beastie.

Edit, also shown is some docking and other space station shiz, but this has been in other vids ;p

Edit Edit gonna watch the rugby then will take this out and show how it handles, another vid up soon.

Thanks for the video! Interesting that you sit on the left side :D

How is the turning rate compared to the sidewinder?

Because sitting on the left leaves your right hand free to manipulate stuff like the radio, etc. And there are more right- than lefthanders so it makes sense to sit on the left side.


I also like the sound of the Cobra ^^ but it sounds a little... hollow... substanceless... in the videos. Is it only me?


And the off-by-one hyperspace counter feels weird.

That can come back to bite you on certain aircraft. The Victa Airtourer had a centrally mounted control column so sitting on the left meant controlling with the right arm, which would be fine except you generally learn to control with your left.

Not just you. I was expecting a little more... heft to the engine sound. Like a sidewinder but deeper I guess.
