[video] trying out Voice Attack, Excellent & fun!

Yes, and you'll want to avoid using voiceattack for some frequent commands, such as throttle, etc. because while you say "max engines" (+ waiting for her feedback all the time), he'll be already on you.

you're right! And didn't heard my very first attempts: "computer, could you please kindly put all available power you have to the engines please so that I could boost whenever I need?" :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Also... do not have a voice attack command for "eject cargo"...... last thing you want to do is arrive into a system where you say something simple, ....and then the computer to respond with.. 'CONFIRMED SIR EJECTING CARGO!"

Damn I don't even have a shortcut key enabled for that function :)

Do or Die is my thoughts on that matter!!

However...how about a command (which I call "scramble") that retracts hardpoints, maxes pips in shields and engines, and begins a jump into super cruise. Its shared command, which I really haven't used yet, is "Get out".

That's what macros are for.

Thats right. I think that would be good but super cruise might not always be usuable.

but I think the hardpoints need not to be included in the marcos but the start of the drives at a certain speed (if you are stationary) or maybe full speed.

Hard points can be kept after you start running away.

Just my thoughts

Well, the idea was that you're trying to get out of there asap. You're not going to use weapons at that point, plus, to go into a hopeful jump, you'll have to retract them anyway. So the worst case is that the jump fails, but you can try again once you get more distance.

It's a "punch it, Chewie" thing.

w/o starting a new thread for that... any clues How i disable teh surrounding windows sounds off Voice Attack? I mean, is there a way to oblige him to use a source, here my mic? tia ;)

I take it your using a free standing mic, and no headset? Move the mic away from the speakers, turn the volume down? There's also a check box in the main settings of VA for noisier environments, but I'd try that last.

omg I'm dump ^^ lol, it is a headset mic, but I'm not always listening to the headset, it goes over the 5.1 (and sowith of course back into mic) ^^ Thnks for the tip! :D

I wonder if it would also help to modify the mic, put something on it to block sound direct from the speakers, so the only open part is towards your mouth, to funnel just that in?

maybe a software, which knows what's outgoing would be to outfilter incoming mic...
