Why would you think that? They’re alive and well
Whenever I mention the code to someone in-game they either 1) never heard of them or 2) say "Huh? are they still around?"
I respect shippy for breaking the ganker mold of the code as I've seen him take on wings by himself and do very well, but he's the only one. There are other guys that go around "wanted" and have the skill to take on anybody in any numbers (e.g. ethelbert). That takes skill. Funny thing about ethelbert, he likes to harass the CG in his FAS, will single out the biggest ship for destruction. We've learned to joined forces and oppose him as soon as he shows up. So when he cant kill one of us that way, he goes away and comes back with friends. I assume there's a discord channel of gankers he uses to recruit, but its a shame. The big part of his fame is how he is a lone ranger. But oh well.
