Visible ground speed seems way too slow

I'll admit that I have always wanted our normal flight speeds to be about double what they currently are, but I realize that it would cause serious problems with Combat, so it's probably better to leave well enough alone.

Apart from everything that has been said before, very few of us actually get to fly low over the landscape in vehicles travelling at in game speeds, videos on the internet don't convey anything like the actual experience, so I would really doubt my own ability to judge based on videos. Here's a test, trying flying at a cliff 300 metres up and pull up at the last moment, then do the same a few metres above the ground, there's a definite brown pants moment there somewhere. Disclaimer, never try this in real life!

These are barren planets so there's not a lot on the surfaces to provide a sense of scale (and by extension, speed). Probably if you flew across one of these surfaces in real life it would still "look slow".

Still, for the best sensation of speed I find it can be quite thrilling to canyon race while set to the external camera.

Or... Hit boost at the letterbox when entering a station. A 700+m/s small ship is a good start. Then let the naysayers tell us how "slow" everything is...

I think the only change I'd like to see to the flight model/speed (apart form a roughly 20% yaw buff), would be for boost to be a press & hold function. You can keep boosting until your capacitor is drained. This would make for more interesting gameplay, I feel.

Regarding boost, I've actually been hoping for a long time that we would get the ability to tailor the boost via Engineering. Stronger boosts with a shorter duration, weaker boost with a longer duration, etc.
