Edit: P.S. I still do think it a pity the 'Visited Stars' filter in the galaxy map drops the ball, in being a bit 'transient' in keeping all the stars you HAVE visited.... as I always found that in-game feature very useful....when I thought it 'accurate'. o7

That bit does seem strange, I haven't noticed any missing stars, I will check when I log into the game. Ok it still shows Beagle Point on my visited stars list and that was over a year ago I was there last, How long ago are we talking about for your ALT CMDR?

P.S. Edit: My 'visited stars' around Beagle Point (from where I have journeyed back to the bubble), SagA* and Colonia are ALL showing, but on arrival back to my 'home' system in the bubble... ALL of my 'visited stars' bullet points are Red (NOT Blue visited) bullet points... to a man! Like I've never been there, yet my other ships are mysteriously berthed somewhere the game says I've never been!

P.P.S. Edit: I don't know if it makes a difference to my now missing 'visited stars'; but I have been making heavy use of the Neutron Highway thanks to our friend 'Spansh'. o7

This has happened to me as well when the fleet carrier ids were reset. I had systems that I know I visited and now its like I never discovered them.

I read somewhere that visited star history can be reset by patches so I started using EDSM and it shows accurate history from the time I signed up.

You can rebuild the visitedtstarsecache.dat from those records and the ones in EDSM using their export filter;

This is currently broken and is related to the issue of visited systems seemingly disappearing, but now would be a good time to use EDSM to "backup" the systems you have visited so when it is fixed you can import them.

Didn't realise that, I wonder of we can generate a text file directly from EDDiscovery, shouldn't be that hard, it's just a list of star names.
