Visitor kill animation...

After i have watched the movies that were published today, i feel that i'am quite calm but... The visitor anmation, is there only 1 death animation when dinosaurs attack? So 22000 visitors trips and get eaten?
And there must be better triggers when dinosaurs attack them, still there was this 3 sec freezing scene when the dinosaur picked it's prey (visitor).... Hmmm Frontier (Brett/Bo) was this also a dev build or the build for the release next week?

Wait, so you're planning to let 22000 visitors get killed? Not sure how you're going to get a good visitor rating ;)

yea i wrote the same in another thread. there is quite a lack of animations:

- killing animations? some1 wrote in the new video material, they get stomped, but no msg or penalties so-> just hurt? :rolleyes:
- ranger team animations? godmode jeeps repairing, healing, refilling everything without bother of carnivores for example :mad:
- raptor pack attack? in the new video u can see a beautiful fight of a raptor vs deinonychus, but the other raptors are just chilling :S

i hope frontier will add some more animations and change their minds about ranger teams. jeeps can stay in indestructible, but worker should be "eatable" :p (after leaving the jeep)
 
I love the animation as they are about to get eaten, it is pretty much the same version of Genearo in the Original movie.

Said all along, a lot of the interactive animations need work.

Gonna get real tired if every guest dies the same way.

The teams never get out of the jeep and it's already been discussed at length as to why the vehicles can't be destroyed. They can be attacked and chased but not destroyed.
 
The point is to not let guests get eaten, at least not many of them.

I guess we might get alot of penalties on our ratings if we do like the guys in those videos did ;) not even worth it if it's like JPOG (park gets shutdown)

our parks will not be shutdown but the ratings will decrease as fast as the water in the dry-season :D

But where's the fun in that? I plan on creating a park full of the most dangerous dinosaurs getting a good rating then creating a back up save and letting the dinosaurs free, I can see the carnage now. [haha]

Edit: It does seem animations need some work (and variety) which, at this close to release, is somewhat concerning. :(

I hope it's fixed for the day 1 patch were getting.

As well as Spino and Diplo being made bigger

Except you don't fix animations, you make more of them, and they're not quick to do either. If more animations are to come, I can't see them being with the initial patch - they're going to have to create and test them out first.

+1 on both of these. The Spino should be comparable to a Rex at least.
 
I don't care if we have only one animation, but I want an active animation, the dinosaur runs and eats a random person, with no "waiting animation". Because right now, see how a human waits to fall until the dinosaur comes, it's just silly.

i know bo already said something about it, but this godmode ranger team will "kill" the whole aspects of administrations/emergency handling. if u´re just sending out teams to do everything without have to worry about they getting killed or hurt etc. and if u read my comment, i just want ranger team animations (topic is about animations), jeeps can stay in indestructible, but worker have to leave the jeep and standing next to a fence to repair -> so they can get hurt or killed by a dino, followed by a cooldown (mb 5 min) for this rangerteam in ACU center (just an idea). otherwise it will end like in the IGN videos, u just make a queue of task for the ranger teams and then zooming out and u dont even observing their work. this will result in a "just-pumping-out-dinos-in-enclosures-game".

"They can be attacked and chased" -> Why should i worry about this if the jeeps and worker cant be harm? frontier added so much lovely things like sabotage by other divisions, sickness and rampaging dinos. but why should i concern this events if i can fix these with 2 clicks? dont get me wrong, im still excited for game :p but i want to play the game longer than a week ;)

PS: giga wasnt in any JP/JW movie so far but the fails of "parkworker" are one of the keyelements of the jp/jw franchise :D

Agreed

Ensuring staff safety should be something you manage. Hire better trained staff, they survive more but cost more.

Hire cheap, budget labour they do stupid like walk into the Rex paddock or stick theur hand through the bars of the raptor cage.

When you send them to repair something, gotta tranq or isolate the dangerous carnivores first.

I never understand the fun in that. I have no fun in letting the dinosaurs run free and kill people. I want to make a safe and fun park.

But not completely unrealistic. Look at most deaths in the franchise. They literaly stood or laid there to get eaten. It might not be what people like, but it is accurate to the series.
